The mix was weakened by the milder elements; principally the Macanudos and, surprisingly, the Montecristos. The Mark Twains, the Buffalo Trace and CAO Captain America cigars were my favorite “good” surprises. The Punch cigars in this mix were so-so; not as good as the Punch Signature cigars I’ve had before.

I ordered cigars and paid for standard shipping however my order got lost and was told that I had to wait 13 business days before the order would be sent again. In total I waited 18 days for another order in which time I ran out of cigars. Other cigar companies if you order by 4 pm you get the order the next day you should really do something about your shipping process. Take a tip from Atlantic cigar.

This sampler is a great mix of quality smokes. Shared half with my brother who also enjoyed them. All came in great condition but I put in my electric humidor for a week to ensure they would be ready for a family smoking session. Will definitely buy again.

The cigars may have been excellent…but I’ll never know. They were packed in a box next to the corner of a humidor box along with loosely-positioned air cells for padding. Imagine what happened when the UPS person dropped the box just 6 inches onto the counter when I signed for it…you get one guess. The Humidification element survived. The miniature digital hygrometer survived. The cigars were shredded almost exactly in half. I’m not inclined to purchase mixed products from Thompson any longer. In future, I’ll buy each single item separately. Or not at all.
