A little harsh on the tongue. Mixed it with a moister black cavendish, was very nice at that point. Very good price point. Smells great.

Great flavor. I mainly smoke cigars but enjoy a pipe about o ce a week and this is my favorite.

Great taste and better room note

I enjoy smoking this tobacco everyday and in various environments or settings. I use a Brog combination lighter. It has a tamper, scraper, knife, and punch in one. Plus a turbo flame. I have been keeping my tobacco and cigars in the protek travel case humidor. I'm extremely please at how well this tobacco keeps in them. This is excellent tobacco. It has great flavor and smokes very well.

Smooth-smoking and not too hot. Go slow and don't draw too hard. Needs re-lighting often, but all pipe tobaccos are like that. Has a nice mild vanilla taste and aroma, smells good to non-smokers. It's difficult to get decent pipe tobaccos nowadays, but Thompson's Amaretto is like the good smokes of yesteryear.

The Amaretto blend smooth, easliy lit, and has an excellent aroma. I'll have to reorder again soon.

I have used a cigarette making machine to make filter cigarettes and they make a wonderful respite from my usual smokes.

Great smoke but has a puck feeling effect

The amaretto flavor is strong so I mix this 50/50 with a cheaper tobacco (like Cherokee) for a perfect blend for my pipe.

At my stage of the game - I can be demanding - If there is something better I WANT IT.

I found this tobacco to be satisfyingly flavorful, and great for everyday use. I would reccomend this product for anyone who enjoys a good aromatic blend.

The initial pipe full was pleasant - a smooth smoke with a nice aroma. The following smokes burned a little warm, leaving a hot feeling in my mouth. I tried to mix this tobacco with a mild blend and had the same result. So, I am back with Captain Black.

This is a fairly good smoke, very little bite, though I will note that the vanilla flavor is extremely subtle, and the scent is barely of vanilla. That said, I did find this tobacco to be a good every day smoke, and well priced for it.

most pipe tobacco will not stay lit and it has a bite. you know the sore tongue and all, but not this one. it is a fantastic smoke. it keeps its flavor throughout the entire bowl. i love it. joe

Tasty smoke, great Amarillo flavor and aroma

I have been quite pleased with my selection of Amaretto for my after breakfast and after dinner pipe usage. In the morning there's nothing better than enjoying another cup of java, opening the WSJ and puffing on my Amaretto-filled pipe. During the evening hours I enjoy either a glass of Scotch or a sniffer of Brandy and wrap the day with some more Amaretto while sitting near the fountain. Good price! Excellent quality. Great times.

Everyday smoker I would rather spend the extra money for MAC BAREN pipe tobaco then smoking this Thompson Amaretto pipe tobacco the only thing it has going for it is its price sadly thats the only thing good about it

Don't just save it for special occasions it is a great value for every day pipe smoking!!! It has a very rich aroma, it's cool burning, and it has a wonderful taste... I have tried other Amaretto flavored tobacco's and found them to be lacking in quality and taste most where just to sweet and tasted like perfume...Thompson has in my opinion really hit the mark with this one. Well worth a try if you are looking for a great value priced wonderful and flavorful pipe tobacco!!!! Don't just take my word on it try it for yourself.I am very sure you will agree!!!

It's not really an aphrodisiac but I wanted you to read this and I thought it might help Fred sell a few more bags of the stuff. When you ask if I found it highly functional, compared to what? For God's sake it's pipe tobacco, if it was a cigar and I was Bill Clinton your question might make sense.

Just enjoy a GOOD smoke. I have been a Thompson cigar and pipe tobacco customer since 1963.
