I have purchased 2 boxes of these cigars and haven't had any that burned bad. I'm a huge Partagas fan and these are my daily smokers. Their flavor is great and pretty bold. If you like strong cigars give these a day in court.

I prefer a dark Maduro so I decided to try this one while I was in the Dominican Republic recently. Well after I tried it I returned home and bought a box from Thompson. I could not be more delighted with the entire smoke. A good hour plus cigar that should be savored.

These are great smokes, perfect size perfect flavor. I've smoke 6-8 of them so far and everyone has burned great. I am a big Partagas fan and these are no exception. Highly recommend.

This has been my favorite smoke for several years now. I have tried many Maduros but i always come back to this one. Full rich flavor that gets better and more satisfying as you smoke it. The first third is a treat. The second third sneaks up and really begins to kick. The last of the cigar is the most satisfying with a great burn, heavy hitting, head lightening flavor and effect. Take at least 30-45 minutes. Do not rush this one. Have a full stomach. Best after a big meal. Have a drink in hand. A big, comfortable chair and enjoy. Wonderful outdoors, by the water or in the back yard. You will love this cigar. Again, do NOT rush this. It is worth the time.

Love the flavor but am really disappointed in the construction, I assume this is what causes the problem. I have purchased the Robusto and Maximo Toro and have had issues with the cap on both offerings. I have been unable to cut the cap so that it will not unravel while smoking, other than this flaw the Partagas is my primary choice in fine cigars. I will probably switch back to Macanudo and try the Partagas later to see if this issue is corrected.

I am a very experienced cigar smoker and one who has smoked dozens of different brands, at just about every price point. This Partagas could be great but has suffered from a serious flaw; I have found it is almost impossible to clip without ruining the cap and therefore causing the wrapper to eventually unwind. I have smoked two boxes, bought separately about a year apart and just about every cigar had this flaw. Otherwise, I would rate it five stars.

Well, what a surprise! I got 6 samplers and stored away in another box in the hummi and found them 4 months later,, by accident. I dated the box so I know when they went in. Anyway, if anyone has read my prior smoke reviews, giving 5 stars out just doesn't happen much with me. Really, 5 stars to me,, and it HAD to be something! Well this smoke delivered. I wrote notes for myself thinking if good, need something share. Details: Started and a near full for the first 1/2", and after, it went medium+ and stayed that way. Cut-perfect, ash- perfect white and excellent burn almost razor. This smoke lasted 90 minutes! 2 music cd's! The smoke/aroma output was medium but it was just so "rich"!! There was no bitterness at all. Draw-excellent. It is a somewhat complex smoke giving off light hints of coca, spices,leather with a small hint of sweetness. The flavor level would change a bit thru the smoke but for a full flavored smoke, hard describe how smooth it was. I just can't use that word enough. I do take into account the price of the smoke for it's overall value and after seeing it just a moment ago (been awhile),,, I'm just shocked! I have smoked stks 2-3 times this price and not had this enjoyment. The light chocolate was a bit more noticed near the last 3rd and I really enjoyed the changes. You will be hard pressed to find a full flavored stk that is this smooth,and rich,, just incredible. It's been a long time, not since my Oliva V series Mellanio (absolute heaven!) which is like my 5 star gauge that one has gotten this rating from me. It's never going to match my Oliva but it is sooo close to it's enjoyment,, in a different way. Yes, do have a couple more 5 stars,, find my other reviews!!!

An excellent stogie for a relaxing evening smoke with a drink. Rich and smooth flavor and won't bite you. One of my new favorites.

I find these cigars provide value to the product. They have a fantastic taste are well wrapped and as yet have found nothing to complain about. They provide a great reward for a hard day at whatever. Easily could be a one cigar a day type. I like to have it with a 15 year or above glass of rum on my deck just watching the world pass by

First of all I received this cigars in a zip lock bag, not in a box as pictured. This was first disappointment. Hard to draw, embarrassing. Fancy looking but I would not buy again.

I truly enjoyed this cigar. It was robustful in flavor from chocolate to a bit peppery at the end. The billows of smoke were beautiful to watch as the the thick plume wafted about me. Awesome experience and well worth the price.

I first purchased this cigar at the local tobacco shop and paid twice the price. Great Thompson price.

Partagas Black is a great line of cigars. Everyone I have smoked has burned straight with white ash.
