When it comes to the Padron Cigars Maduro 5000, the standard by which all Maduros are measured, the Padron process is an interesting one in that Orlando Padron grows his own Maduro wrapper. Therefore the company is able to handpick only the best Cuban-seed tobacco leaves from their own field. The Maduro wrappers are then handed off to their most skilled Cuban trained torcedores. However, before they are ready for the smoker, the cigars are put aside for a minimum of three years of slow, carefully monitored aging. As a true limited edition cigar, this one is a great one to get a hold of and experience.

I have never lit a Padron that I didn't enjoy. What's odd is that friends and family don't complain about the smell of the smoke from a Padron; they actually comment on how good it smells. Odd but true. With rare exception a Padron cigar is worth the higher price paid. I have realized that you truly get what you pay for.

The Padron Maduro is my everyday smoke and has been for years. I have tried many other cigars and keep coming back to Padron. The only other cigar that I would smoke on a daily basis would be the Padron Serie 1926, if only I could afford to do so.
