Only after the order was placed did I receive notice that only one could be delivered by Christmas, the other is on backorder. This was very disappointing...if you can't keep your system updated as to stock levels, I will find another company that can.

Olivia Serie V Melanio is my favorite and go to cigar. I usually get the Robustos but for special occasions l also really like the Torpedoes or Figurados. The construction is top notch, they burn perfectly, and are very flavorful without harshness of ant kind. I highly recommend this cigar.

I did not have an issue with the 3 sticks that I smoked so far. So far so good as I am very satisfied with these cigars.

This is one of the best cigars I have had. Highly reviewed and accurate. It starts off great and continues that way until the last inch. Lasts me about 90 minutes. Some have been pretty tightly packed, but loosen up about 25% of the way through. My GF who usually only tries one of two draws of any cigar has stated she could smoke the whole thing. Too expensive for me for everyday, but great for special occasions.

Overall good cigar not great. For what it offers it is overpriced. Better cigars can be had for less coin. Perhaps back in 2014 the rating was justified but 2018 did not live up to the hype

Straight to the press, box press that is. This 6.5 inch figuerodo feels great in your hand. The caramel wrapper and tapered ends are striking to look at and often steal the show at get togethers. Extremely well constructed with natural but minimal veins. The result is a smooth but slightly peppery smoke that continues all the way through to the last third. Goes great with a single barrel bourbon with friends. I keep a box in my humidor at all times.

One of the best cigars I've smoked. I'm a Maduro guy and I actually prefer the Sumatra in this blend. These are med to full body & flavor. A great after dinner smoke with a cab, Bourbon or Scotch. I do not talk about specific flavors, I will say it has a vary refined aged tobacco taste. Toasting, burn and smoke out put in great. If you haven't tried one, pickup any of the Melanio Sumatra series I'm sure you will like it.

I cannot say anything bad about this cigar. It was the number 1 cigar of 2014 and the flavor shows why that is. The cigar lights very easily and the draw is amazing from start to finish. They are so well made that you will not have any issues with the wrapper fraying or cracking. These cigars are well worth every penny. This cigar will always have a spot in my humidor

Very smooth and consistant flavor

I bought several of these after they were named CA #1 . As usual, I put my new cigars in my humidor for several months to settle them before I smoked any. I have now smoked three of these and each time I have been disappointed . They just don't seem to have a flavor I find satisfying. I stll have several left , so i hope the others are more satisfying..

I am a new smoker and tried a few of the Oliva cigars first and fell in love with smoking. Then I tried some mild to medium samplers and could many even finish them. The cigars have a wonderful subtle rich flavor, perfect draw, and beautiful wrapper. What an accomplishment to produce such a fine smoke. Congrats to Oliva for excellence. Unfortunately I can't go back to a cheap smoke now.

An excellent cigar. I am still somewhat new to the cigar world, even though my knowledge is growing. The construction of this cigar, in my opinion, is one of the features that sets this cigars apart. Very smooth. Excellent accompanied with a quality scotch or bourbon. I have given this cigar as a gift to other cigar lovers. Now they only get a box of this from Thompson Cigar!

This was by far the worst tasting cigar I've ever had. I gave several to a few friends...no one liked them. I cannot believe that this is the 2014 cigar of the year...Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I have two boxes aging in my humidor, and I'm adding a third. These hand rolled beauties are smokeable right now. The box is simple, lined with cedar and having individual slots conforming to each cigar. Head and foot are perfect, and very gentle pressure indicates a well humidified cigar. Cold draw is normal, and leathery in taste. Nose is leather, earth, tobacco and chocolate. Gentle draw after first light is full bodied and slightly harsh, which is why I'm letting them age for six months or more. After 1/4 inch, the cigar opens up, and floods the palette with well aged tobacco, and not a hint of harshness. Earth, tobacco and leather predominate, with cream and chocolate rising and falling. A slight retrohale opens the cupboard to a mixture of spices, hard to distinguish individually and very pleasant. No cedar notes, and no distinct nut or fruit. A consistent and remarkable smoke, so much so that I remove both paper bands to allow full consumption of the cigar and I am always tempted...and sometimes give in, to smoking two in one sitting. The aged Nicaraguan fillers and delicious flavors make this cigar unforgettable...and the full body does not mean a harsh smoke...in fact, if you didn't know this was a full/med bodied cigar, you'd be tempted to call it a medium due to the smoothness and consistency of the flavor. Burn is even until it extinguishes under the band location, at which point it is usually uneven...not a fault IMO. I have sampled No. 1 rated cigars going back to 2011, and none of the others hold up to this cigar. It is truly in a class of its own, with old world habano flavors and smells, but with none of the old world harshness or inconsistency. Half the other cigars resting in my humidor have fallen out of favor since this cigar moved in.

I loved it so much I ordered 5 boxes. This is one of my new favorites. So much flavor at such a great price. I wonder why these aren't $30. The only problem is waiting for them on back order.

I must confess that I go a little overboard about my love for cigars. The amount of money I've invested in my collection is absolutely shameless, as a lot of others are, I'm sure. But this cigar is, in my humble opinion, hands down the best all around cigar in existence. While there are a couple of others, that under the proper conditions, may be a better choice, their price tags prohibit smoking them regularly. The price point on these beauties allows me to enjoy them on an everyday basis. Every aspect of the smoking experience is epitomized with one of these gems. Upon lighting one, my den begins to smell of fresh baked bread. An inch or two in freshly cracked pepper and rich cocoa coat the palette, while the finish is reminiscent of a cup of creamed coffee. PURE NERVANA! I most highly recommend that if you haven't tried one, get some now and you will, I'm sure, experience the very pinnacle of all the reasons why we smoke cigars

Smoked a padron 1964 the other day, gave it 2 stars, was going to be 3 but the price- you got to be kidding me? The smoke is nice, but not that nice..Anyway!! about the smoke, it is a mild-med at most just because it's so smooth, lots of creamy smoke/flavors and just keeps you begging for to not end, but the aroma/smoke off this cigar is just beyond complex! You just want to lock all those flavors in a room! no escape!!It changes in so many directions. Hints of almost everything but the kitchen sink! Smooth, with light hints of caramel, sweet earth tones, and just changes immediately to more of a very light sweetness. So many flavors that I can't even- ever remember smoking something like this. Not overwhelming,, just smooooooth! For a full flavor, you would not know!! Cut was perfect, the burn was razor the entire smoke. I have 4 large hummi's stocked and a friend asked me to rate my top ten, this was #1, and evrything else was just a distant second.. it's just that good. Think that padron anniversary is good? great! try one of these Oliva's right afterwards, and see if you find a new benchmark of total perfection! And maybe save you some money while at it. Lots of words, but beats a post that says- "great smoke!"
