I like candela wrappers and iguana has been one of my favorites. Recently they seem to have some issues with a fragile wrapper. I'd give it a 5 for taste and a 3 for construction.

I normally love these cigars, and I was happy to see them again after they had been out of stock for quite a while. But this particular box was really disappointing. The cigars were dried out and hard as a rock. It took over a week in the humidor just to get them to the point that they could be smoked. If my next box of these is like that, I will move on from them.

Out of the 20 in the box, maybe 5 were in good shape. The wrappers would crack on almost all of them. I let them sit in my humidor for 2 weeks and still cracked. Waste of money.

This is not the best cigar you will ever smoke, but it my be the best cigar for the money you will ever find. The candella wrapper is a thing unto itself. One of my favorites.

So far each Iguana I've smoked from the pack I ordered have had cracked wrappers. I'm really disappointed how these arrived dry and cracked. Plus they are not as green as they show on the photo.

This was the first time I tried the candela wrapper. I usually smoke the maduro. I quite like the flavor & mildness of the candela. I've had no problem with the way they smoke. Pretty even burn. I would buy these again.

This cigar has a very mild flavor to start which builds to a more medium bodied flavor as it progresses. There aren't as many of the signature notes associated with a candela cigar, and the flavors aren't as well defined, but this is definitely a very manageable smoke. It has very subtle but nice flavors and give off nice amounts of thick smoke as the burn progresses. While it may not be as flavorful as some other candela cigars I have tried, it is a very good mild starter for those who want to begin experiencing candela cigars.

This is my first Iguana Candela Gordo and I must admit, I'm quite impressed! Easy to light, great draw with tons of thick smoke, no uneven burning issues... All this at a bargain price! I'm normally cautious when it comes to inexpensive sticks, but let's be honest, it's hard on the budget to smoke 1926 Padrons or Fuentes Opus X every day so if you are like me, you try to find a decent cigar at a decent price. This green guy fits the bill perfectly well. I bought a box of 20, so that will last me a while as I put them on rotation with other experimental sticks, but I wouldn't have a problem ordering them again.

Didn't care for the flavor myself. Every cigar would come unraveled to some degree and would only burn about one third of the way before it would start tunneling and become unsmokable. couldn't even give them away.

Very dissapointed. Was looking forward to this candela wrapped cigar. Outer wrapper not very sturdy. Glue from cigar band pulls off wrapper. After cutting cigar, the wrapper just falls apart. Not just one cigar, but several. Will not purchase again.

I started smoking Iquanas in their first permutation some years ago. I don't know why we don't see more candellas. I've tried the Iquana 2nd string, but for me the candella is unusual enough to put it over the top. When I'm tired of the same old same old, I reach for an Iquana.
