Fratello Cigars made its debut with the Classico blend, and it was an instant hit, receiving an impressive 91-rating. Company owner Omar de Frias has one of the most interesting journeys into the cigar industry. A love of basketball helped spark his love of cigars as he had to pass a cigar shop to get to the basketball courts, finally old enough to enjoy a cigar the shop owner gave him a cigar 101 tutorial. Fast forward to a brief pro basketball career in the Dominican Republic and on to a career a NASA. 

The Classico is produced at the Joya de Nicaragua factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. The medium to full-bodied blend features a Cuban-seed Nicaraguan Habano wrapper over an Ecuador Sumatra binder and blend of Nicaraguan and Peruvian long-filler tobaccos. The balanced and complex profile is spicy and creamy, with undertones of wood, leather, and pepper.
