Comments about Carlos Torano Vault Toro Colorado Single Cigar:
The Carlos Torano Vault Toro Colorado Single Cigar came to me via the Thompson Auction site at nearly half off of what is priced here.
The cigar presents nicely with a dark Colorado wrapper which sports a couple of imperfections that did not effect the smoke. Cut of the end occurs without incident and the silver foot band is removed. Dry draw reveals a light pepper with spice in the background. The wrapper exudes a sweet taste to the lips and tongue.
Light is accomplished easily, with thorough coverage. Draw is an appropriate lightly firm. Initial aroma is of the aforementioned pepper, which also draws the taste to the end of the tongue. Further taste points include the spice along with good tobacco taste and a hint of dark chocolate, which maintains throughout the smoke. Ash is medium grey with flaring and moderate separation, and falls off at 1 in. in length. The entire smoking experience lasts about 50 minutes.
In summary, the Torano Vault Toro Colorado is a good cigar with decent tobacco fillers and background tastes. Price point requested is excessive and should be more in line with the amount I spent at auction. Enjoy.
