These are my first Nicaraguan cigars that are NOT Padron. I took a leap of faith with all the great reviews I've seen on the Oliva Serie V cigars. This is a really good smoke right out of the box. However, I think it could use a little time in the humidor to set up. I think I'll try some of the other Serie V and Melanio cigars, too. Recommended.

One of my new new go-to cigars this long Ann thin lancero is a delicious smile that allows you to fully enjoy the flavor of the wrapper, unlike shorter and wider cigars. Consistent draw and burn make this an enjoyable 40 minute smoke. Nice packaging in its wooden slide top box and a great value.

It is very smooth and burns evenly which is what I look for while I'm driving or at the end of the day. I smoke to relax and the Serie V Lancero gives me a good 30 minute smoke to get me there.

hard review for me. i wanted to like this one. oliva's a good line. this is a quality cigar. i normally like a medium to full smoke, but all that said, this one just didn't make my list. a rich, spicy smoke but a bit one dimensional. i liked the first third better than the rest, and it didn't seem to develop for me. may be a matter of personal taste though, so see what you think.

A great afternoon or after dinner smoke, or when you're out and want to impress. After all, it is a Serie V and it is a Lancero. Young men look great with long thin cigars and old dudes know that the wrapper-to-filler ratio in a narrow gauge cigar ramps up the intensity, and for old dudes (like me), that's all that really matters: FLAVOR.
