Don Augusto cigars are fairly consistant in flavor and construction. Occasional bummer.

These cigars are very good for everyday smokes. Most smoke all the way through but some are difficult to stay lit and some had chunks of hard tobacco leads that would not easily burn. I will try them again after I have smoked this batch.

Some don't burn, some unravel,some are rapped to tight.

I prefer the non Maduro version of this. Both are good cigars for the golf course when I am not also having a nice scotch or rye.

Nice cigars for the price

For me a cigar is a smoke, not a status symbol. That being said, the Don Augusto qualifies as a smoke, but makes it just under the wire. The problem is, the last third tends to unravel on ya. Not all of them do, just most. I've purchased quite a few, and I'll buy 'em again, no problems. I compensate bu telling myself they're inexpensive and I always keep a thing of gum Arabic handy.

The burn alright

Better than what I got last time I purchased cigar from you all. They burn down rather evenly. And I can draw through them. Last time I had to irrigate about every cigar to smoke them.

These were the worst cigars I have ever purchased I could not keep them lit they burned unevenly they flaked. Rest assured I will never purchase them again!

This is the first order I've ever gotten from Thompson that I absolutely am totally unhappy with. The cigars are stale, the ends of the wrappers are not even sealed closed -and I think that's probably how they got so stale. And I can't even hazard a guess as to how old they might be. I am sending the balance of the unsmoked cigars back and won't be doing any more business with Thompson after having been a loyal customer for several years.

Only smoked one since receiving my order. It’s a good cigar with an excellent draw and burn. Very pleased.

The burn was terrible this time around. The taste was stale. Purchased this before but not happy about it this time around.

Very dry. Burns funny and the wrapper was so thin. Appears to be made of only chopped filler tobacco. Brings to mind "what the country needs is a good nickel cigar".

The worse cigar I ever smoked. I won’t buy again. Does not burn even and worse taste. Please look for something else. This is not good even for the low price.

Several of these cigars still break up in their tobacco-wrapping once you smoke it for a little while. I had similar experiences in my previous purchases of these cigars. I do store my cigars in a 70% humidor and I keep them in their outside plastic-wrapping until I start smoking each cigar. I was never compensated for the many cigar losses due to its manufacturing of the wrappings. I was told, the previous time, that I should send them back. This is not practical, since I don't know how many are going to fail. Also, the corona virus does not allow us out of our house to mail them back through the US post office. Why not tell the manufactured to do a much better job in their wrapping quality. However, I still have been a loyal customer, so far. When I do smoke a good wrapped cigar, I enjoy it. Thank you for your intent to listen to improve.

I have enjoyed These smokes for several years Through quality issues and reincarnations. My most recent evaluation would be that improvements to leaf And construction are well received with one rather Significant change in strength. Previously labeled as Mild to medium in strength they have now assumed a full medium to strong.

Draw some the slow on a portion of the cigars. Also relighting was a common problem. One other problem was the wrapper had a problem of unwrapping

THOMPSON CIGAR "was" a GOOD option, the PRICES and selection is pretty good, the MAJOR challenges in FOLLOWING CUSTOMER REQUEST. I "ASKED" PLEASE... each month to USE THE... CREDIT CARD provided on my MONTHLY CLUB shipment, BUT IT HAS GONE OVER 4-6 MONTHS, THEN END UP taking MORE THAN I was comfortable with! JUST ONE MORE reason, I'm leaning to LEAVE your business. WHEN 70+% of any given order is pooh pooh CONSTRUCTION..."HELLO"?

Over half of them were damaged. They did not burn even and a lot of them tunneled. I waited to long to send back, my fault. I will not buy again. I have never had a complaint with Thompson cigars before.

This is a great cigar to share with a novice cigar smoker that wants to join in with friends having a stogey. Nothing I hate more than to share one of my better brand of cigars with someone that won't appreciate it.

I recently purchased the 5-pack and was quite surprised with the flavor of these cigars. Good mellow smoke with consistent flavor and a good draw. Would buy again to fill my humidor with an easy everyday kind of smoke to go along side my premium cigars.

ok so this is advertised as a long filler cigar. none of the long filler cigars i have ever smoked will drop an ash at about only 1/2in. actually, i have some cuban sandwiches that will go 2 inches before the ash falls. that being said, nice smooth draw, good smoke production, size is like your typical robusto, plus 2 inches. so for the price, its not bad at all, especially as an everyday smoke. burns a bit fast, considering its length. but its a decent smoke. i just might be buying a bundle of 40 soon.

Inconsistent wrap. some sticks are rock hard making draw difficult while others are perfect. Overall, a good smoke for the price.

This cigar is great one to relax with at the end of the day with your favorite beverage or even sharing one with a friend. It has a nice smooth draw and pleasant flavor never leaving a bitter or hot taste in my mouth. Although every once in a while a wrapper will come loose or the cigar leaves a bunch of little tobacco pieces in your mouth this only happens a couple of times out of the 40 bunch so it is of no real concern.

You cannot beat the breadth of product offering from Thompson.

Only 1 out of 40 was unusable, the rest was a great easy relaxing smoke. Some had wrapper flaws but not to the extent of destroying the smoke. For an inexpensive smoke they are great!

This has become a regular cigar to relax in the evening while enjoying a bourbon on the rocks. Nice, rich flavor and a smooth draw on all but one that I've purchased. Very nice cigar for the price.

An evey day smoke

In the evening I like to relax by enjoying one of these cigars, watching a beautiful Florida sunset and consume a nice beverage. Once in a while a wrapper may come off the cigar or it might burn very unevenly but for the price it is a very pleasant mild smoke. I live on a very strict budget and I am thankful for a cigar of this quality for this price.

Originally gave this a cigar a 4 feeling good smoke for the $. After smoking a few more I have to revisit the rating. Very inconsistent. More bad than good in my batch. Bitter harsh stem madness.

Wrapper began to unravel from the foot up after a couple of minutes of smoking. The draw was terrible (very loose) and the taste was horrible.

what can I say? my third purchase of these fine cigars. I love the Maduro flavor of these sticks along with the great build quality and burn.

I ordered one due to the price and I have to say--- I was impressed. for the money the flavor was on point, I will be ordering more in the future.

I bought these after trying them in the Dominican Toro sampler pack. They have become my go-to everyday smoke. The flavor is mild with a hint of spice, thanks to the Maduro wrapper. The Connecticut version is creamy smooth with a medium body finish. Overall, these are well constructed, great tasting smokes well suited fo winding down the day with a cold beverage. A couple of them had mild imperfections in the wrapper, but all of them had a good draw. I highly recommend these sticks!
