The newest additions to the Charter Oak series are a heartfelt tribute to Nicholas Melillo's grandfathers, who's passion for tobacco sparked his love of the leaf. Each blend bears the name of one of his grandfathers. The Pasquale features a dark-brown Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, that was his preferred leaf. To round out the blend a Nicaraguan binder and long-fillers are used, but to amp up the strength and flavor profiles higher-priming tobaccos are used. “The Charter Oak core line would have been their everyday cigar and these new blends would be for the weekend or a special occasion,” said Melillo in a press release. Production is limited to 500 boxes on a quarterly basis, so don't hesitate or you may miss out on a truly special cigar.
