Don Augusto Churchill Maduro (7" x 50) is a handmade Dominican cigar with a smooth-medium body, created in the same Dominican factory as Don Osvaldos and are similar, except for their slightly smoother blend. Created in the old world style, only utilizing hand-picked Dominican fillers and binders, draped in a dark, Maduro wrapper. It tastes even better coming in a value-loaded, 40-count bundle which is perfect for those long games on the golf course with a couple of your fellow connoisseurs.

I really liked the ones in the 20 cack sampler,but the ones I bought in the 40 pack are very dry. I have had them in a humidor ever since they arrived. The one I tried smoked like a cicarette. i'm hoping that they will be smokeable in a couple more months.

Disappointed with this batch. First ones I bought smoked better. Had to poke a lot of these and some wrappers flaked off. But once you got passed that a decent smoke.

These may be the worst cigars I have ever purchased. I made the mistake of buying 40 of these. I found out cheap is one thing but if the cigars don’t burn or draw well even free wouldn’t matter. Out of the 40 maybe 10 had a decent smoke. I would not recommend these cigars to anyone. Not even good grass cutting smokes and that says a lot. Lesson learned.

Good Smoke for a daily cigar. not overly powerful. So far I've smoked 10 and 3 of them were not smokable. 2 were rolled too tight and one was way too lose. But cheap enough not to upset me. might buy again.

These cigars are very good for everyday smokes. Most smoke all the way through but some are difficult to stay lit and some had chunks of hard tobacco leads that would not easily burn. I will try them again after I have smoked this batch.

For me a cigar is a smoke, not a status symbol. That being said, the Don Augusto qualifies as a smoke, but makes it just under the wire. The problem is, the last third tends to unravel on ya. Not all of them do, just most. I've purchased quite a few, and I'll buy 'em again, no problems. I compensate bu telling myself they're inexpensive and I always keep a thing of gum Arabic handy.

This is the first order I've ever gotten from Thompson that I absolutely am totally unhappy with. The cigars are stale, the ends of the wrappers are not even sealed closed -and I think that's probably how they got so stale. And I can't even hazard a guess as to how old they might be. I am sending the balance of the unsmoked cigars back and won't be doing any more business with Thompson after having been a loyal customer for several years.
