The Arturo Fuente Curly Head Deluxe Maduro Lonsdale (6 1/2" x 43) is a high quality, medium bodied cigar that goes for a much lower price than other Arturo Fuentes. Why? The Arturo Fuente Curly Headline of cigars cost much less because they use a mix of short and long filler from the same select tobaccos used in those other Fuente lines. Instead of following a specific, blended recipe, these Arturo Fuente cigars use a combination of the other blends to create another classic Arturo Fuente for much cheaper. This makes for a great cigar for a bargain price. These cigars have to pass the same, very strict quality controls put into place for all of the cigar creations made by the A. Fuente Company, and the choice Dominican filler, binder, and fantastic Maduro wrapper generates a top-shelf Maduro smoking experience.

Tried these for Father's Day,
Tried these for Father's Day, don't usually go for maduros. It's a smooth, easy drawing cigar with good flavor. At $2.95 a stick, what's not to like? No flaws in the wrap, construction very good. The burn was even, good long ash. The down side is it takes an hour to smoke one of these babies and it's good enough that you don't want to bail early. As with any cigar, every once in a while you might find a stiff draw but just roll the hard spot and no more problem. This is my cigar from here forward.

Great daily smoke
I have smoked a couple boxes of these and they were good mild cigars. I found no construction issues and the ash was even burning. These will probably be a regular order for me. Bill in Az

It's nice to know some things never change
After almost 30 years of not smoking cigars and finally being able to afford one of the premium brands that I remember it's refreshing to know that the quality the consistency and the flavor has not changed a bit it's been a long time since I have Cigar that I would smoke down to the point of burning my fingers and burning my lips because I didn't want to quit smoking it and these definitely fit that bill I will start ordering these on a regular basis because they are the best cigar that I have ever smoked
4 out of 5
Worth the money
So as you might have read in the description, the filler of these cigars is a mix of what I assume might be leftovers from making their other cigars. That being said, the flavor is still quality, but I do feel like it makes the burn just slightly inconsistent. As for the appearance, it does seem they might use slightly less attractive wrappers (e.g. bigger veins in the leaf), but cosmetic difference isn't a deal breaker. In sum, I'm not going to save this for a special occasion, but the price vs tobacco quality is a great deal that I continue to purchase.

Arturo Fuente, A favorite of mine since 1992
Arturo Fuente always makes a great tasting cigar that is mild and easy to smoke. I love to have one with my son when he returns from college and I send a box to my friends in the Army whenever they all too often, deploy to Afghanistan or Iraq or some other spot...

Enjoyed these
I found these to be a mellow, easy smoke. I've enjoyed them in the morning, noon, and evening. They've not been a burden on the palette for following meals either. They've provided a good long smoke too. I'll return for these. Thanks.

Make every smoke special!
I find I quite often will light up a Curly Head Deluxe over many of the more expensive cigars in my humidor. They are a great size for an afternoon smoke. I always bring a few extras with me for social occasions. The Curly Head is inexpensive and I can hand out to friends who are learning the pleasures of cigar smoking.

I buy this product regulalry and feel it's a good smoke/pric
Good for when you don't have unlimited time available, last long enough to be enjoyable but not too large that you don't want to light it due to time constraints. Given to friends over the years and all have really liked them

Dried and cracked open
I ordered this cigar because a friend had given me a sample to try. I failed to check all cigars at arrival and placed them in my humidor. A few days later I noticed the wrapper was cracked open. By then it was too late to return them since I had disposed the box. Don't get me wrong; this is a good cigar. I just wasn't lucky enough to enjoy them all.

I woulld buy this product again
I like the Fuente product line a lot. The Curly head is a good compromise over the top-rate Fuentes. You can smoke cheaper cigars, and I have. But after smoking some of the top-rated ones the cheaper ones aren't as good. I have smoked a lot of Churchill's in various brands, and decided I like this smaller size a little better. The Maduros have a better flavor than the naturals IMHO but the Naturals are available in a 40 count box. Usually a 45 minute or so smoke.

Very Good Cigar at a very good price!
This Arturo Fuente is a good introduction to the label for those who don't want to spend a lot of money. However, they may be encouraged to try better AFs after sampling these! You won't be embarrassed to hand these out - good label, good cigar.

best for less
Arturo Fuente is a trusted name for along time. my problem is when I order cigars I forget which ones I liked and disliked. I ordered the "curly heads" and liked them very much. the benefit is that the name is easy to remember. they were under $3 a smoke and burn through nicely. everyone I share one with enjoys them as well. I recenty purchased 2 additional boxes of 25 to get me through the end of the golf season and into the holidays. a good smoke at a good price.

One of my favorite
Have been a long time Curly Heads smoker. Always a consistent smoke, great flavor, inexpensive and delicious. You get all the benefits of Fuente's quality and flavor of a cigar at the bargain price. My humidor is never without them.

Great daily cigar
Cigar smokes very smooth. Peppered finish that's calm on the palate. Recommended for an everyday smoke.

These are the best for me!
This is the best cigar that I have found regardless of the price. There are maybe one of two in a box that are not as good as the rest. Some have a little better flavor than others or are hard to draw from. It happens once in a while that one is not wrapped properly and does not burn right or is too loose and does not smoke the way it should. I have not smoked boxes of others so I don't know if this happens to all cigars. The Curly Head Deluxe Naturals are also excellent, however they can be a bit harsh when you get down to the end of the cigar.

Not as mild as I expected.
I like a good cigar that I can smoke daily or for special occassions. This one was much stronger than I am used to and it didn't have the typical smoothness that I have always gotten and expected from Fuente's cigars.

This is a great cigar anytime. Always consistent lighting, draw, flavor, and wrapper. Deep, rich flavor that's not overpowering or bitter. It is smooth and clean down to the last 1/2 inch. You won't want to put it down.

Exceptional Flavor
What a surprise. A buddy turned me on to these and he hasn't really enjoyed many brand name smokes. I tried the 858's and these are just as good if not better, and you can't beat the price. I bought three boxes in the last month. Any of my friends that tried one wanted to split a box.

I mostly smoke the cigars when I golf. About 3 a round. Try to golf 4 days a week. I have been smoking them for the past 3 weeks and don't intend on stopping. Fantastic cigar!!

Smooth flavor and good down to the ring as long as you don't smoke it too fast. The maduro has a better aroma than the natural.

An Arturo Fuente Bargain
It may not seem like much, but they come in a self contained cigar box and taht makes for an easier use; these are not the mainstay AF at a higher price, and the 46-48 gauge is a tad small for me, but for the price as an everyday smoke I would buy this one over and again; it has the standard AF quality on construction and draw; it's flavor is not the top AF in that it has a slightly less salty, but more bitter taste: but it takes about 1 second to get over this slight imperfection; highly recommended
4 out of 5
Ugly Ducks Lay Golden Eggs
This is a heck of a bargain stick. These are throwbacks from Arturo Fuente, I believe made by learners. They are the same blend as their more expensive cousins, but lack the fine construction and flawless wrappers (although the wrappers come from the same batch). These aren't pretty, but what they lack in looks they more than make up for in flavor and complexity. Shifting from light leathery smoke, to rich dark chocolate and coffee and finally an almost salty caramel, these are a new favorite daily stick in my humidor. Since the construction is a bit iffy sometimes, you may run into sticks that pitter out or don't burn perfectly evenly, but this is easily corrected. A small price to pay for such a lovely tasting 2 bucks.
3 out of 5
Inconsistant
The inconsistant draw is the biggest issue, with more than half being a firm draw. Also a little on the harsh side.

Everything I love about Fuente cigars, but a lot less $$$. Sure, they aren't as good looking as a Hemingway, but they ARE made from cuttings after all. They taste as good and smoke as good as the firsts in my opinion.

Arturo Fuente Deluxe Maduros
I typically smoke one cigar a day. Being an ex-cigarette guy, into flavor (Lucky Strikes and short Camels), I do inhale slightly. Have found a few favorites in the 2 years - Olivas, Fuentes, and seem to lean toward Maduro-type. This particular Arturo Fuentes is medium flavor, lighter than many maduros. It did have a wrapper issue toward the last 1/3 of the cigar, but for the price and flavor, that one is easy to overlook. The burn was even until that wrapper came apart in last portion of the cigar. Will buy again, think Fuentes makes the best $3-$8 cigars available, with Oliva not far behind.

Curley Head is a slap for Moe
The Curley Head has it's plus in it's general "nut - like" flavor. I have had a whole box that had a difficult draw on every stick. I have had another box that was perfect. This is a good everyday cigar that is mild-medium in strength. Be sure to have a "Draw Poker" available if you get one that is a tough draw.

I smoke these whenever I feel like I want on. Sometimes once or twice a week; sometimes once a month. I have a small group of family and friends that enjoy them, too. We like to sit around a small fire at night, with our Curly Head Deluxe and sip a whiskey or sometimes a fine brandy.

Best cigar value in the world!!
It's midnight, Thursday night in Baghdad. I just came down from smoking a Curly Head Deluxe Maduro on the roof of my residence in Karrada neighborhood, Baghdad. I first smoked a Fuente Maduro Curly Head when I lived in Tampa in 1980. The cigar is the same great cigar that I first smoked 30 yrs ago. I have smoked more expensive cigars, but, none better (to my taste). I recommend this cigar to the first time smoker or a seasoned aficionado. I've introduced this cigar to several dedicated Havana smokers; their first reaction is, "Where can I get these?" Need I say more?
4 out of 5

Great inexpensive cigar
I know they're curlyheads, but I've never had one that didn't draw smoothly and taste great. The maduro wrapper adds a lot to the flavor.

None Better for less than [$] a stick!!
[...] I've enjoyed several great cigars and brands (Cohiba, Rocky Patel, Montecristo, etc.) so I know the qualities of a 90+ rated cigar is, so I would rate this one at a 88. It's a good smoke from start to finish. It's easy to light and has a nice draw and flavor.
