Always a fight to refuel, I had only had the lighter for 14-15 days and the lighter slipped between arm of recliner and made its way to the floor where as I found the fuel throttle wheel laying beside the lighter and will not reattach or stay on the lighter any longer. Will not have anything to do with these lighters again...

Lights first time every time. Keeps fingers away from the flame. Lights cigars quickly and evenly.

I bought this because it has a lifetime warranty but initially it never seemed to fill completely with Butane (and I used Xikar butane). After 3 months it became impossible to fill it at all. It simply won't stream any butane into it at -- even when bled out. Thompson won't handle the return either. I was told I had to return it directly to Xikar/Zippo and pay for trackable shipping myself. This experience was not at all satisfactory; as a result, I'm going to think twice before I order anything from Thompson again. There are plenty of online cigar vendors out there.

Pretty dissapointed in this lighter. I would spending a little more on an upgrade to this entry level lighter. Must be set on highest setting to work and even that flame is weak.

Great lighter, works way better than matches or the traditional lighters you pay a dollar for at a convenience store.

The lighter feel comfortable in your pocket. Very EZ to adjust the flame. Slighty wind proof.

This is the second Xikar lighter that I have had. Both lighters stopped working properly in about a month.

I purchased this lighter and it worked for one week now it is just like other expensive lighter-collecting dust in the drawer

This lighter is reliable, provided you use good butane fuel. I used Ronson and it performed awful, but now use Vector and it lights up every time. I recommend this lighter.

This is a good, hot lighter. Fully adjustable flame and doesn't use fuel at an unreasonable rate.

This is a very nice looking lighter and fits well in the pocket. However, after 1 night of being in my pocket, the plastic flame adjustment "wheel" on the bottom fell off. Also, I could only get this lighter to actually light by turning the flame all the way up. Even at that, it sometimes takes a few tries to get it to light.
