Comments about Roughneck Tips Cheroot Natural Honey:
The positive: The packaging they used has kept them fresh for months. I really like the re-sealable pouch idea. Foil lined inside, plastic reinforced outside, by far the best packaging for machine made cigars I've seen yet. They burn well and have an easy draw, the Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper is sturdy without feeling like a brown paper sack.
The negative: I found them unpleasant to smoke. The cigars themselves have a reasonably strong coconut scent, which I find unsettling. The smoke is thick, but has a flavor a bit like old cardboard smells. I received 10 free in conjunction with another order and I don't feel like I got my money's worth out of them.
I smoke Backwoods regularly, when I don't want to sit and smoke one of my big cigars. These are similar in appearance, with a slightly darker wrapper. About the same dimensions. I smoked one when I first got them, and didn't like it. I waited a few months, and tried again today. To Thompson's credit, the packaging really kept them fresh--they had the same taste and were still moist. These just aren't for me. I will give them another smoke here in a couple weeks, but I don't plan on writing another review on them. They have lots of flavor, but it just isn't a flavor I find myself enjoying.
