These Oliva Seconds are great! When I first ordered them, I was a little skeptical. I expected at least a few to have cracks, plugs, or other issues. I'm in the middle now of my second batch and I can say confidently these have all the flavor of a premium cigar and no major flaws in construction. I've had one or two (out of 25) that burned a little uneven, but nothing worse than cigars I've paid much more for. No plugged cigars, no cracked wrappers, just a delightful consistent smoke. The price ($2 a stick) makes them cheap enough for an everyday smoke. No fancy band, so these don't make an impressive gift, but that's okay, keep 'em to yourself!

Very good cigar - price is right and it smokes very nice. Also have Connecticut for a lighter smoke. Both are very good, and did I mention the price...

The cigars were very dry. Most likely not Oliva's fault, seems to me that Thompson cigar doesn't keep them in a humidor, but instead keeps them in a warehouse.

These cigars taste like Oliva G maduros because they are. The leaf blemishes on the wrapper and occasional uneven burn are the reasons why they're seconds. If I'm craving an Oliva G, I always look for these first. No reason to pay retail. If you collect points or coupons from Thompson, you can get these down to pennies on the dollar. Best value on the website.

These are wonderful and do not disappoint. Great price for them as well. I will be ordering these again for sure!

A good daily smoke. Great price. The name has a lot to do with it too: Oliva. That is almost as good as it gets with cigars.

Those are tasty little cigars. They are perfect for everyday smoke. I bought two pack of those and will buy some more.

This is a great cigar if you love the medium full to full flavor and a robusto size. Excellent smoke and what a value.

For the price.... you can't go wrong. Last's about an hour at best and some have construction issues but all taste really good. A great everyday smoke.

good but not a Nub

This is a good daily cigar. Goes with coffee, goes with whiskey, goes with a nice long walk or yardwork. The flavor is not aged and refined, but definitely a pleasant medium-bodied maduro smoke. Construction is excellent as expected from such a premier cigar company. Highly recommended when you don't want to burn through a $10 premium cigar just walking the dog, and much better than other budget handrolled I have tried so far.

My only compliant was a ragged burn on a couple of them. The taste and quality overall is good. I wonder what made them "Factory Seconds"?

I usually leave my new cigars in the humidor for a few weeks but I decided to try one right out of the package and wow. These are some great cigars at a great price. You don't get any rings around them but I can live with that. These and the Aging Room Maduros are going to become my daily smokes.

Five stars for such a modestly priced stick may seem extravagant, but the Robusto and the Toro are two of my all-time favorites, including Cubans. Bought a Robusto bundle on a whim and was amazed that such a humble cigar could be just about perfect. This is just my preference , but if you're looking for a smaller Maduro with great flavor, either size is worth a try. They light easily, draw well, stay together, and burn evenly. Consistently excellent taste and aroma, with layers of complexity I've never found in a cheap smoke.

about a 30 minute smoke

I got these on sale for $29.95. For the price, they're definitely worth it. Consistent draw, no problems lighting, good flavor. My only issue is that my bundle was a little dry, I don't know if that's normal or if that's why it was on sale for more than 50% off. They're a medium-length smoke for me, 20-30 minutes.
