Pre-light aroma: Barnyard, musk 1/3: Sweet/Sugar Water, wood/cedar, smooth even burn, firm ash. Mild/light bodied. 2/3: Less sweet more woody still cedar hints of earth not bitter pleasant good burn firm ash. Mild/light bodied. 3/3: Needed a touch-up, back to sweet, stronger cedar turns to medium body. Great Burn, Good ash till the nub. Cigar is very one dimential with only two really distict flavors which are sweet/Sugar Water, Wood/Cedar. No major construction flaws some small blemishes on wraper no soft spots. One small touch-up, over all very pleasant. Highly recommended daily-smoke Tip: Keep then in the humidor for a couple of days prior to smoking eliminates bitterness smooths it out.

Of course, I'm still new at this past time but I feel I'm learning fast!! My first cigar in 20 years was a few months ago with a friend. It was the Romeo y Julieta Churchill. This Oliva, to me, is it's equal despite its modest price. It was very smooth and it burned evenly with an easy draw. Even though I purchased these at a local shop, I can't express enough praise about this cigar for Thompson customers! I strongly urge you to give it a try if you like a smooth, mild cigar!
