Henry Clay Toro Broadleaf Maduro USA
Henry Clay Stalk Cut Toro Connecticut (6" x 54) employs a technique which is the "stalk cut" part, as the name implies. The wrapper leaf is cut at the stalk and hung to cure letting more nutrients flow down into the leaf as it is hung to cure. This added technique gives the cigar a little extra earthiness to it. The blend includes Dominican piloto and olor, and 2013 Nicaraguan Criollo long-fillers, a Dominican piloto binder and a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper which all create a very full-bodied taste. The Henry Clay brand was revived by Pete Johnson of Tatuaje cigars with this Stalk Cut line and he hasn't let us down yet. This one is definitely worth a try for the full-bodied fans.
