Nice cigar. Just the right amount of flavor. Not too smooth and not too overpowering. 60 ring size which is perfect.

Had this one in my humidor for about three weeks after getting it. When I got it out to smoke it had a very pleasent aroma, that was a good indicator of how smoking it would be. After lighting I noticed it had a good draw and that pleasent aroma. It is a little earthy with hints of leather, but was not harsh or overpowering. The cigar burned evenly all the way, a very pleasent smoke.

This cigar started out a little strong for my tastes. It mellowed out some after a few minutes, but was still a strong smoke. That being said I did enjoy smoking it, and for smokers who enjoy a strong cigar this would definitely be one to taste. It had a good earthy flavor.

I really wasn't expecting to like this cigar as much as i did. But over all this is a really great cigar. Even burning, relatively mild flavor. No unraveling wrapper. No pieces tearing off into the mouth. I smoked this one with a glass of Knob Creek Bourbon and it paired very well with it. No runs at all. Usually bigger cigars tend to be stronger and overpowering. Not this one. Very easy draw to it. Definitely worth the purchase.

This first cigar I received from Thompson was free for a review and had significant construction issues(cracking and splitting) and I could not smoke all the way threw. I believe this was from being shipped in a cardboard tube in the middle of January in cold dry conditions. That being said when I contacted TC they immediately sent me another that was in fine condition. The draw on this cigar was really firm for the first inch or so, but loosened up and was fine after that. I got some earthy hay flavors with some woody/cedar taste at the beginning. Midway through the spice started to come out and lasted to the end with strong cedar and some sweet notes at the end. I enjoyed this cigar and I am a fan of the big 60 ring cigars. This would be a great everyday smoke and I would recommend it.

Nice looking cigar. Good construction. Cold draw was promising. At first lighting there was more pepper than expected. It soon mellowed out, and was a flavorful smoke. About half way through the strength picked up noticeably and the burn started to become uneven. I found it necessary to touch it up frequently over the last half, and the final two inches, it went out. Had some trouble relighting because the draw had become really tight. Overall, I enjoyed the cigar. Issues with burn and draw can happen, and didn't dampen my experience.

Was given this cigar to test and review. The label is a sinister, dark, emo-looking brand that leads you to believe it's going to be a full flavor stick. The aroma out of the package was pleasantly sweet with a hint of earthiness. Construction was flawless, veins rightly placed, no cracks/flakes, smooth, just firm enough to the grip. I recommend a punch due to the ring, most people might try and squeeze it in a small cutter and damage it. It was an easy light and had a consistent burn, all but one instance where I had a runner for about 15 minutes that self-corrected. Very consistent draw, not hard. It took me a good hour and a half to smoke. I like to linger. Only had to relight one time (my fault). The first part of the cigar was sweet, almost chocolatey and a bit lighter than I was expecting. Good medium smoke. As I began to get closer to the label it became fuller and more earthy, with a bit of spice/pepper notes. It's to be expected though since I had been smoking for at least an hour. Construction held up the entire smoke to the end, but I was left wanting more of that sweet flavor. Overall, great surprising smoke. In a blind test would have thought it a higher price stick.

This cigar smelt terrific out of the cello. Pre light draw tasted of leathery cocoa with a sweetness. First and second third had a light spice with a earthy feel on the tip of the lounge. last third had a little bit more strength in my opinion. Also the nutty notes were much more noticeable. overall it was enjoyable. I matched with a root beer and vanilla rum drink

Good taste, no aftertaste at all, good construction. Lit well at first, halfway through kept dying. Well built and didn't fall apart.

Tight, near perfect construction, but great draw. Flavor was strong, but smooth and mellow. Very close to the Oliva serie V, but a bit smoother. My new favorite!

I kept this in a humidor with ~70% humidity for a few days after it arrived, then smoked it. The big ring gague was a challenge to get my cutter on, i would use a punch on it if I had one. But once I got it cut I found it pretty easy to light. It had a medium flavor that I found to be quite enjoyable. It burned evenly all the way down. I would definately recommend this to a friend.

Definite "Special Occasion" or as a treat yourself to some down time, whenever, cigar. Forget the chores pick, a comfortable chair, in the Sun or shade as the weather dictates, and enjoy. Mild smoke, smooth easy draw, very consistent ash, slight pleasant burnt toast taste on the tongue. Start to finish, to paraphrase an old coffee commercial, "good to the last puff".

Big old scary black cigar, but the first draw was very mild. It was easy to smoke and maintained a consistent flavor all the way through. Surprisingingly great smoke for a stout looking BIG boy.

This is a great Thompson exclusive. 30 years buying from Thompson and still they surprise me. Peppery with traditional tobacco mild to medium flavor, I could smoke this every day. The size and color make it a very macho cigar but I've bought $$ cigars that looked good and didn't taste any better than a 7-11 blunt. Dark Domain delivers in every way, both looks and taste. Great gift for any occasion. I relit it 4 times and it was not a problem. I like!

This is just a treat. The Impressive size and color of the Maduro wrapper make it not only great looking but perfect for gifts and special occasions, weddings...etc. Honestly I could smoke this baby every day! Smooth flavor, mild to medium, even burn, well constructed with a slight pepper taste added to traditional tobacco tones all the way through. Re-light not a problem if you want to set it down and come back to it as I often do throughout the day. I started this at 8 AM and went back to it 4-5 times finishing it with some Fireball at 9 PM. You will not be disappointed in this Thompson Exclusive! As a 30 year Thompson member, they never cease to surprise me.

I'd use this for a weekend cigar, but I didn't like the splitting of the body 1/3 of the way down.

When I first lit up, the cigar tasted peppery. It seemed a little harsh, but after a few draws, the cigar settled right down. It was very enjoyable all the way to the end.

To say this had construction issues is an understatement, but i'm sure that had to do with the delivery condition as the cardboard tube it was packaged in was crushed on one end. You can see in the attached photo. This was one big cigar too big for my liking. You'll need some time to get through this one. Burn was slow and even and the flavor full and rich. Like i said not my favorite type of smoke, would not buy this but if given one may give it a go again.
