I followed the instructions to the T. After the first few weeks (yes weeks) of waiting for the temperature to stabilize, I started putting cigars in. I have about 40 total in there. A couple of weeks later I found the temperature hovering between 60 to 66. I also noticed that many of my cigars had a moss-like substance on them (I like sweet cigars, an incorrect temperature draws out the sugars and causes what looks like mold). I took everything apart, cleaned everything with distilled water, and completely reset the entire humidor, again, to the exact instructions (using a sponge to moisten the wood, etc). The first week the humidor was sitting at a nice 70 degrees without cigars and doing quite well. I put back a few cigars at a time. As I looked in tonight, it was back down to 62 degrees and the moss has returned. California doesn't even get that cold (well not in May). My house sits at 76 and I have the humidor in an office with no sunlight and very little air movement. I've read from other reviews that the door and plastic (not glass) is total garbage and there is no way for the humidor to retain the correct temperature. Apparently, this isn't capable of holding even one-third of the suggested amount.

I purchased this knowing about the seal problem around the hygrometer. There's a 1/4 inch gap around the bottom half of the wood around the hygrometer and plexi glass. I seasoned the humidor first and it was still maintaining a 69% humidity level without fixing the gap. I decided to seal it anyway. Used some hot glue and 3 tiny wood screws with some plastic washers and that was the end of if it. I wanted a cherrywood one but it was backordered so I ordered a black one since I was in urgent need of a second humidor. My buddy is taking this one off my hands and I'll definitely purchase the cherrywood one when it comes in. It's a great box for the price. Only thing besides the seal issue is the separators in the drawers and pinned and glued. I would have preferred if they were not. It wastes space when you have a lot of cigars to put in. The seal problem is the only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating.

Yes, it has a gap between the wood front and the clear plastic front. It still kept the humidity where it was suppose to be. But to fix this issue, I took the door off, removed the side panes holding in the clear sheet and applied 3M two sided sticky tape to the wood on the door as a seal, trimmed it real neat and then after cleaning the clear sheet real good, I put the clear sheet back in and replaced the side panes. I then drilled three 1/16" hole's into the clear sheet, but not through the wood, I used some very small wood screws and screwed the clear sheet to the wood front. So now the Clear front is sealed to the wood and the gap is gone. Simple fix. It fit perfectly in a small end table I have in My Front Room and work's great, keeping the humidity steady at 72%. I put in a XIKAR remote sensor that I also bought from Thompson Cigar and that keeps Me up to date daily on My Cigars status. See My Pics, Looks ans works great.

If you like to have a decent variety of cigars and keep them separated this is the humidor for you. Definitely the best bang for your buck for the quality it can hold. However, it does have one major issue that is easily fixed. The plexy glass around the hydrometer has a decent size gap between it and the frame. A little hot glue fixed it nicely. Once that is fixed, it holds humidity quite well. You will need to adjust the hydrometer. Mine was 10 percent off. One minor thing, is the drawer dividers are glued and pinned at the ends. You can remove them with pliers but a little mark on the ends will remain.

I not only enjoy my humidor, I have two. The finish was excellent and the function was just as advertised. They look good and hold the humidity where I want it held. Super deal at the price.

Great humidor if you know what to expect. I'll explain: Not real glass, not spanish cedar, and not seal around the hydrometer. The humidor itself is great looking and as far as functionality, it does what is supposed to do after you seal the gap. It keeps humidity at 70 to 72% after the addition of 70% water beads soaked in cigar solution. (Mind you I live in the desert and have refrigerated AC) I loved the fact that I was able to store a lot of my open cigar boxes and have easy access to all the different cigars. I also line the bottom of the drawers with spanish cedar sheets. The bottom line is I like it so much that I bought a second one. My only complaint is the strong plastic smell inside the humidor which seems to be going away. There for the 4 star rating

I am doing an update to my review from 11/18/2017. After wiping the interior down with a damp paper towel to remove any dust, and there wasn't much, I set to get it humidified and ready for cigars. It arrived and after using e more hygrometers to check accuracy they were all close at 60%. So I filled the humidifiers with a glycol 50% solution and a tub of beads. Humidity came up to 70% pretty fast and the next day I added dome cigars. In my first review I commented on the drawer dividers being glued in place but they are also pinned with very thin brad nails. So I set out to remove the dividers so I would not waste saw blade. I then used an Exacto blade to slowly cut the glue (hot glue?) and then pull the divider out. The small brads came with the divider. I used pliers to pull the brads out of the divider and scraped the remaining glue off both drawer bottom and divider. Some of the THIN veneer wood did come off but it looks fine and cigars cover any (very little) damage. Also, there was a small gap in the plexi were the hole is for the hygrometer so I removed the hygrometer and used some hot glue to but a couple beads and pressed it tight to the door. Looks good and seals even better. Because of the dividers being glued and the pressboard drawer bottoms I am still giving the very nice humidor 4 stars.

I gave the Lucky 7 Humidor 4 stars for a couple reasons. I ordered the BLACK humidor and it looks great, very nice. But, the dividers are GLUED in place and the bottom of the drawers are pressboard with a spanish cedar skin on top. Pressboard should NEVER EVER be used with humidity in a closed environment. These two things are why I went with 4 stars. There does seem to be a little unsealed area around the Hygrometer but that should be an easy fix. This would be easier for them to fix in construction then later on. All in all it is very nice and it is humidifying very nicely.

I seasoned this Humidor initially with boveda 84% packs for 2 weeks, and left it rest then with 69% packs. So far after a week with approximately 70 cigars, so far it is holding steady at 68% which is amazing! The drawers provide great orginization, while still allowing airflow.

Got the humidor and was impressed initially by the finish. What impressed me the most was the door and how it almost closes with a suction when it's close to closing. I gave this a 2 star rating because everything is nice and seems to be of pretty good quality until you get to the plexiglass on the front door. I opened the box and seasoned the humidor for 2.5 days. Each day I opened the humidor just for a minute or two to check on the process. The hygrometer dropped drastically after being open for that little time (just opened each drawer to make sure the wood was ready and there were no more damp areas). I thought that was kind of weird, so I though maybe the humidor wasn't ready yet. I got another hygrometer that I know is good and placed it inside as well and moistened the drawers again using distilled water. The next day, it looked to be ready again as the hygrometer showed the right humidity. One last time, I inspected the drawers and saw that everything was ready. Looking at the hygrometer I noticed it dropped drastically (20% drop from 80 down to 60) again whilst my known good hygrometer was still relatively close (only 2% drop). So I inspected the hygrometer and realized that the plexiglass is warped and is not flush behind the hygrometer! So while it seems sealed around all four sides, it isn't sealed around the hygrometer! It had about a quarter inch gap. Now I know why the attached hygrometer dropped so suddenly and wouldn't stay constant. It's because the humidity wasn't being held properly. If they actually sealed the front plexiglass around the hygrometer, I don't think this would have been an issue. Another option is if they had actually used glass it would never have warped. I have two other humidors that use glass and they are fine. The hygrometer could do with being placed somewhere else so that the front plexiglass can have a uniform seal around all four sides. A humidor has to have one main thing, a GOOD SEAL! and this does not.

This thing has tons of room. I have 85 sticks in it with a drawer and a 1/2 left plus the top drawer filled with the hydration and cutters. Hmmmmmm, I wonder how many it can hold with all the drawers pulled out.....

The humidor arrived with a broken drawer, and the support team refused to simply ship a drawer, they would only replace the whole humidor. It does not maintain humidity so I will have to fix the drawer myself and then seal the glass. NOT impressed.

For the price, it's not a bad humidor. The drawers are not full Spanish cedar (bottoms of each drawer are composit material) but they are lined with cedar inside where the cigars sit. I seasoned this humidor with Boveda seasoning packs for a full 14 days, and the humidor impressed me with how well it holds humidity. 2 weeks after removing the packs, the humidor still retained a lot of moisture. Drawers are easy to remove if you need more storage for boxes of cigars and the design is a good blend for a collector that stores mostly single cigars and only a couple of boxes. Seal seems to be holding well so far and the stock hygrometer is surprisingly accurate.

Received yesterday and started seasoning, but as humidity increases, pronounced wood glue aroma becomes present. I am seasoning it and airing it out with a fan several times per day. The humidity here in Colorado Springs is about 30% and the air is thin, so airing out the humidor for one minute drops the humidity by 25%. This will take a while to season and air out, but if that works, this is a gorgeous humidor with large capacity and it seals well.
