Attention, cigarnivores: get your taste buds ready, because this exciting, new blend by legendary master Augusto Reyes is going to rock your cigar-smokin' universe. Similar to the much-loved Romeo Y Julieta Reserva Real, which represents the gold standard for smoothness, the Barlovento New Blend Connecticut Toro (6" x 50) is premium cigar on the smoother side. It's delicately crafted by hand in the Dominican Republic using triple-fermented Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers along with a 6-year-aged Connecticut wrapper.

When I first joined the cigar club, I tried these, liked the taste and the price so they became my monthly purchase. Although now, even though I like more of a medium to full taste, the Barlovento is still one of my favorites.

Great looking, easy draw, seemed very well constructed. Even though I'm not too skilled at lighting evenly, it seemed to correct itself and burned perfectly even through out the entire smoke. It produced tons of very mild smoke and was very enjoyable. There are lots of great cigars, but for me, this ranks near the top. If you like a mild cigar, this one won't let you down.

I had a few of these from a sampler and were so enjoyable I bought a box. These may be the best I've had for this price.

Taste is ok, a bit hard to draw and the wrapper began falling apart halfway through. Would not buy again and would not recommend.

For the price, I find the extremely even burning to be better than cigars twice or even some thrice the price. My credo is why pay much more for a slightly better cigar and for a popular name cigar, at least for my taste.

Not spectacular, but OK for the money.

I bought these for a guys weekend for 5 of my friends and myself. We're all completely beginner cigar smokers, and these did ok. A couple of my friends loved them. I preferred a more medium cigar. The Barlovento seemed better with a milder scotch rather than something like an Ardbeg. (go figure) Pretty good, though.
