Hand-crafted under the cigar master Augusto Reyes, this cigar is made in the Dominican Republic using triple-fermented Dominican and Nicaraguan long fillers, Nicaraguan binder and a Connecticut wrapper that is aged for six long years to perfection.

This is my go to, every day smoke. I have a huge humidor full of more expensive shapes, sizes and brands but keep coming back to the Barlovento because of its consistency in burn, flavor, taste and low price.

The value for price is outstanding on this cigar. The minor wrapper blemish issues are minor when considering this is an affordable, great tasting, daily stick. The ones that are unblemished make for great gifts to friends for any occasion.

This product was advertised as being comparable to Romeo and Julieta Reserva Real made by renown cigar maker Augusto Reyes. Not even close. I should have known for the price. I learned a lesson here. Only buy what you like. I'm now stuck with 20+ dog biscuits.

Definitely not a fan of the new blend. Not as smooth, mild or mellow. They also have a more firm and harder draw. Thompson Barlovento is my regular club brand, but if this "new blend" is taking it's place, I'm definitely changing my brand.

Original Barloventos are way better. New blend has a harder draw and uneven burn. They are also stronger not as smooth or mild. Augusto Reyes should have stayed out of this and left a great thing alone. I am not a fan of the new blend.
