I really was expecting a very good cigar for this price. Initial buy was in a 5-pack fever, but the box was no where near the sampler. Finally gave away the last one, after "smoking" half the box.

Not sure what all the hype is about this cigar, but that's why I tried it. First, the positive was it had a good appearance, but once I cut it and tested the draw it was bad. I used the draw poker on it and loosened it up, then lit the cigar. Another issue is that it would not stay lit. I had to re-lite the cigar three times. Once I got it going, the cigar tasted harsh. There was some spiciness to the cigar and floral notes present but that's all I got. I still have another four of these cigars, so perhaps I'll change my opinion, but for now I really can't provide a positive review.

Got excited when I received my Villiger's and smoked one right away, not thinking they just came off of a 0 degree Fahrenheit mail truck at 40% RH. Smoked badly, peppery, blah....took it off my Thompson Wish List for future purchase and figured about 30 years in a humidor would cure this one. Had another one a month later, COMPLETELY different experience!! Perfect draw, perfect burn, consistent taste from start to finish, great cigar! Nice medium body that smokes with such smooth character that it seems like a Mellow-Medium. Very well balanced with no off flavors.

The smoothest cigar I've ever smoked, hands down. Cheaper in the 5-pack fever section (~$5/stick).

Good contructionand a beatufull cigar. Not much for complexity. Its a mild smoke. Really did not impress me enough for a repurchase but if you like mild smokes, this one is for a latte in the morning.

Do not think it was deserving of the C.A. #10 spot @ all. It was decent. Great burn, draw, & construction. Flavor....Meh.

This cigar hashas become one of my go to pleasures. I found it to be above medium strength wilh loads of flavor. Very complex cigar that had my full attention. I would recommend giving it a try. If my humidores weren't to packed already I'd go for a box as they can only get better with a little more time.

So, Villiger has never been a favorite but I respected the fact that they were hitting the premium cigar market with high end lines. Knowing that this stick stuck out in CA's too 25 of 2017 made me want to give this smoke a real shot. After lighting it up I can say it's not a bad smoke. It has good construction, a good burn and nice draw. But so do so many cigars. Where I feel the stick is lacking is in flavor. I felt there was a slight muskiness I wasn't really enjoying and I had to relight a couple of times. A good strides towards true premium cigars and I am glad I tried it but I don't see myself going back for more.

I find I keep coming back to this one. I'm usually not a fan of R&J but this one I found to be very enjoyable. Smooth smoke with a soft sweet aroma.
