Seasoning the humidor was an easy process. The questions started to arise after seasoning when adjusting the analog hygrometer prior to installing. Went through the process once, set to 100% and installed. Then needle stayed above 90% for two weeks. Repeated the process, set to 100% again and reinstalled. Either the humidor holds humidity unbelievably well as it still shows above 80%, or it is quite inaccurate as noted by others. I guess the final jury is still out, although I would have thought following the seasoning instructions and adjusting the hygrometer would have yielded closer to 70% - 75% pretty immediately.

Works great, just make sure you treat it properly before use. i have about 50 cigars in it and the humidity has never gone below 67%. it looks great and two of my friends have bought the same one after seeing mine. definitely glad i got it

Added my own digital hygrometer as the one that came with it not so good

Since the shipped item took almost 2 weeks to get here and was damaged, I was hoping for the replacement to be shipped quickly. Been a week and still waiting. Time to look for another cigar supplier. Sorry Thompson, but customer service does not seem like it is a priority.

This is a beautiful humidor to showcase your smokes. The price is comparable to the quality at regular prices and a bargain when discounted.

Great Humidor for the price. Yes the Hygrometer is inaccurate but nearly every analog hygrometer on the market is except for the adorini hair hygrometer which is what I replaced the stock one with.

This is a beautiful looking humidor. It maintains humidity for a long time and is easy to set up. the only issue I am having is that the humidity device keeps falling down and will not stick.

I received this humidor as a gift, and immediately fell in love with it on my desk. Beautiful wood tones with plenty of space for a growing collection of smokes. However, even with a Paradigm humidifier, this humidor is tough to maintain a 70% level. I still highly recommend the humidor for all cigar lovers, but you may need another humidifier to keep the level up.

Product keeps humidity well and looks beautiful. After weeks of cigars being in humidor they are much more flexible and tasty.

The humidor was a big step above what I previously had and I have been very pleased with how well it holds humidity. It took about a week to season. My only complaint is with the humidifier. It came with a magnet to connect to the top of the humidor. Unfortunately, the adhesive does not stick well to the humidifier or the wood, so I have opened the case several times and the humidifier had fallen on my cigars. Besides that, everything has been excellent.

Luckily I saw what this humidor actually looked like else where otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it. The pictures on TCC's website do absolutely no justice for this fine humidor. The first word out of everyone's mouth that has seen this humidor has been "wow!". When I received it I couldn't believe how nice and classy it was. It is very well built with a tight seal and there is nothing cheap about it besides the price and the finish is amazing! I got way more box then I thought for less than $100. Using a Xikar humidifier in instead of the stock green sponge, it keeps my box steady at 70% RH. The lid feels heavey and has a nice seal. I especially like having a glass top without the entire top being glass. It allows me to peak in at my digital hydrometer and check on my cigars without opening the lid. The only thing I would suggest when buying this box is to buy a digital hydrometer. As all the other reviewers have mentioned the analog hydrometer that comes with this unit is totally worthless (as are most if not all analogs). After a day of seasoning the humi, the stock analog didn't move at all from 45% even though the digital showed a 20% increase in RH. Do yourself a favor, stop reading and wondering whether you should buy this and put it in your cart. You won't be disappointed!

Outstanding value for the price. My previous humidor was more money, held a third of the cigars, and didn't hold humidity steady. The Venetian Cherry does all that and looks better, too. Love the external hygrometer/glass top. I use a digital hygrometer just inside the glass so I can see if if I want - important for picky people like me who always have to know the humidity level inside their humidor. Don't be fooled by humidors costing 2 or 3 times what this one does. It's prestige pricing. Quality-wise, this is all the humidor anybody needs.

I was already happy with the Cherry Humi I owned and was using a couple of others that were just not as good or as good looking. Humi came quicker than I expected and I had it up and running within 48 hours. Working great!

Very nice looking humidor. The wood looks like a million dollars. Proud to display it in a prominent area of my home. Can't say much for the hygrometer. Went through the whole process of setting it up over several days and still having a hard time adjusting. Some who have bought this humidor have said the hygrometer is not accurate. I would suspect that is the truth. Would be nice if a digital accurate hygrometer was provided as a replacement.

This is agreat display item. The only issue I have is I do have it loaded with 125 to 150 cigars and you will need some sort of addiitional humidifcation to add to this box to keep it at optional humidity.

The nicest thing has to be the wood. It's very nice.

Great humidor, would be perfect if it had a better hydrometer that worked. This humidor works beautifully with a HUMI-CARE Digital Hydrometer, & HUMI-CARE Crystal Gel Humidification. I would have given this humidor a perfect 5 star rating, if it had a functional hydrometer. Other than that, this humidor is a great buy & gets a lot of complements from my friends & family!

Great asset to increase the pleasure of enjoying a fine smoke. Analog hygrometer adds to looks, but doesn't reflect true humidity. You need to purchase a digital one to compliment this and maximize your benefit. I had about 55 cigars to store, so getting the humidity to the proper range after I conditioned the humidor took some fine tuning, but it is now holding the humidity correctly. It looks great in the house, and wife likes the looks also. No regrets on this purchase.

I have to agree with everyone who wrote a review, the hygrometer, is totally useless except for covering the hole when removed. I suggest to any one purchasing this buy a digital one. I also might add, to hold better humidity I use a crystal humidifier. I only had this issue when initially seasoning the thing. I have a steady 71% in my humidor for the last 2 weeks. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the hygrometer but to each is own. Holds about 100 but I am using various cigars. The pictures don't do this justice this is absolutely an incredible design and for the price it's a must own.

Overall I think I got a good product for the dollar. As others have stated, the hydrometer (as with most analog hydrometers in humidors at this price point) is simply unreliable (mine didn't work at all, even after calibrating it with the "salt test") and you should get a digital so you can keep track of the moisture in your new box... and don't forget to calibrate your new digital hydrometer either because it will need it. The construction is great, fit and finish were exceptional, the seal was tight, and thats really all that matters to me. One other consideration to keep in mind is that the 125 count is typically referring to Corona size cigar, which is 42 x 5 5/8 so if you like bigger smokes you'll only get about 100 or so in there.

This product is great, I did have a problem with the humidifier it came with and the hydrogemator though. I bought a gel humidifier and a digital hydrogomator and things have never been better with this product.

Great so far but analog hygrometer tough to calibrate. Didn't try hard to calibrate though because I already had a digital.

The wet case came loose, and won't stay in place

Useful in storing all of your favorite smokes or just your everyday smokes. Also good for long term storage of those special smokes you may be holding. It was kind of hard to get hygrometer calibrated.

This is a beautiful piece of art. Well crafted. Even my wife, who thought it was too big when it arrived, thinks it is great. Hygrometer is large and easy to read. It has taken about 2 weeks to season. The only thing that I don't like is the material in the wet case - it sheds material each time I put water on it.
