They burn well till about half way, then they are hard to keep lit.

They are very consistent, have a great flavour and a great burn as long as your not in a hurry. They have a tendency to canoe if you pull to hard, take your time and for the price that Thompson sells them for it’s a great value.

The Tres Ligas By Pinar Del Rio Toro Maduro, comes to me via purchase from the Thompson site. The cigar is selected from one of my aging humidors, and has been allowed to settle for approximately 10 months after purchase. The patience has helped this cigar immeasurably (as is true with most cigars) as the harshness of the tobacco has settled and the overall effect of this cheaper blend has improved. The cigar presents beautifully with a nice oily Maduro wrapper, and good detail on the seams. The cigar is a little light in the hand and a mushy to gentle pressure, indicating a less than ideal roll and optimization of fillers. There is one rather large imperfection in the wrapper. The cut occurs with no loss of integrity in the cigar. Light is accomplished easily with good coverage. The medium/dark grey ash has light flairing without separation, and grows to 1 1/4 inches before falling off. Due to the relatively poor rolling of the fillers, the cigar burns very hot, lasting approximately 40 minutes. The taste of the cigar is better than that experienced immediately after purchase. Bitterness and harshness are gone from what is essentially a mild/medium smoke, with a decent yet undistinguished tobacco filler. This cigar is as good as it was going to get. In summary, a decent cigar if you are willing to let it age. Otherwise, a decent tasting tobacco without contrast which will provide newer smokers some satisfaction. A two for me with TWO stars added for the value. Savor your cigars.

I bought these as an everyday cigar. No construction or burn issues just not a lot of flavor. Everyday they sit in my humidor they get a little better. I would definitely let them age.

first off i am not happy with these at all.they look great but the flavor tasted like smoking an old shoe.the box looks good to but it smells like it was made out of swamp wood.i think that is why the cigars taste so bad.i took them out of the box and put them in a cedar box.i will leave them in there for at least 6 months and hope this will make them smokeable.very disapointed in pdr i thought these would be a great cigar but they are not.good luck on these.

Good everyday cigar for the money. These cigars need to be burned on the edges often.

I have a humidor and use the humidor supplies, but can't keep the humidity above 60%. That may be why the wrappers are dry and crumbly after I get the cigar unwrapped and lit. It is a good smoke for daily smokers if you tend to smoke the cigar at one sitting. I usually smoke one over several sessions during the day.

Was expecting more from the Liga line. This cigar draws well and is best suited for mild smokers at best. Strength was truly a disappointment even with the Maduro wrap. Good draw and decent burn with smooth draw Just was hoping for more in the mouthfeel and strength that did not deliver.

I was very pleased with this cigar. I bought it to be an everyday kind of smoke, and it will fill that roll nicely.
