Creamy vanilla, rich caramel, and sweet honey…no I’m not describing a calorie-packed dessert, I’m talking about Sutliff Crème Brulee pipe tobacco. A popular aromatic among the Sutliff line, this sweetened tobacco is combined with a blend of Virginia, Burley, and black Cavendish. Get this easy-smoking blend by the pound here at Thompson Cigar and satisfy your sweet tooth while filling up your home, man cave or wherever you prefer to light up your pipe with the smell of a French bakery.

A mild smoke. Leaves no tongue bite. Similar to Sutliff's Molto Dolce, minus the sweetness. Because of its mildness, it has subtleties of flavor which as a new pipe smoker, I first mistook for blandness. I recommend this as a good, mild, aromatic.

I am new to pipe smoking and this is my first review of a product. I ordered this to see how it compares with Sutliff's Molto Dolce. Here are my thoughts. This blend is not Molto Dolce. The tin note is very much the same as Molto Dolce and the room note is significantly less similar. The actual flavor is as if it were about 40% that of Molto Dolce. I had read elsewhere that this was Molto Dolce in bulk packaging; my experience is it is not. I would recommend it if you think Molto Dolce is too sweet or that its flavor is too pronounced. If you are looking for Molto Doce, this blend suggests a similar taste but only at about 40%. For me it falls a little flat; for those who consider Molto Dolce as "overly sweet" this blend might be more to your liking. This blend is a little too mild for my tastes. It is not Molto Dolce.

As a new pipe smoker I am fond of aromatics. This blend has the tin note of Sutliff's Molto Dolce but that's where the comparison stops. The flavor is so weak and bland, the only way I knew it was lit is I saw smoke coming from my mouth. However being that the tin note is good I might try to salvage this purchase by leaving the jar open and seeing if it works as a poutporri. If you hear this smokes like Molto Dolce, take my word, it doesn't.

After smoking many cigars and pipe tobaccos I sadly have to rate this one very bland and almost too mild. It is super wet, so your packing technique will change dramatically over your drier blends. You will not want to tamp this down often as it will just make it burn hotter. The wetness out of bag could be lightened by drying I suppose. However the taste isn't as good as it sounds. I've had many-a creme brulee and this isn't even close. Just something to fill the pipe I suppose.
