The Cigar Aficionado 91-rated Rocky Patel Edge Toro Corojo cigar is the product of Rocky's collaboration with Nestor Plasencia, the largest tobacco grower in Central America. Together, they combine their talents to create Edge, an earthy, wonderfully spicy cigar with a cedar base and tangy finish. Designed for seasoned smokers, Rocky Patel Edge employs a Cuban-seed, Honduran grown Corojo wrapper that provides a peppery flavor with a hint of sweetness. The long fillers are slowly aged for five full years. Medium to full bodied; this bold smoke is full of flavor yet is well balanced with notes of dark spice, espresso and a long full finish.

Great all around Cigar
I have smoked many of these Edge Toros over the years with uncanny consistency...a real tribute to fine cigar making. For a full flavored cigar it is very smooth and does not give me a head buzz like some other full cigars. Great flavor, coffee, peppery, just an honest to goodness cigar flavor.

Great stick
Great taste and flavor, plenty of smoke. An odd one may have a firmer draw than desired however rarely. Creamy smoke full of cedar, chocolate, coffee and pepper with some sweetness reminiscent of dried apple -- some spice as well. Nice finish -- not too long or too bitter. Good for a break from the everyday smoke and good enough for a gift.

Great Smoke.
It is one of the best smokes on the market. It is very hard to find a cigar of this caliber anywhere. I also smoke the "THUNDER" by Nimish Patel, also a great everyday cigar.

One of my new favorites
This is one of the very few cigars that I burned my fingers before wanting to put it down. Never got hot, like many do at the end.Very complex and long finishing. I went to a movie afterward and could still taste this memorable cigar an hour later. No construction issues. I cut wide and the head never unraveled. I might cut the next one narrower because it draws so easily that it was sometimes hard to exhale everything. (maybe I'd better get back to exercising.) Perfect draw and burn throughout. After light, a hint of pepper with woody overtones. Toward middle, leather became more prominent. Then toward the end the woodiness came back stronger with the peppery undertones again. This is advertised as a bold cigar (see the warning on the box). It is more than a medium cigar, but did not kick my butt like a ligero or other bolder cigars that made my head spin. I loved this cigar. Not for everyday use and I'd like to see a smaller version (have heard about the edge lite. It sounds like a completely different cigar to me), but when there is time, this one is great. I thought it was perfectly paired with a neat Islay single malt Scotch (Bowmore. Laphroig would be good, too)
