The filler and binder tobaccos are selected from four different regions in Nicaragua, Pueblo Nuevo, La Reina, Condega, and Jalapa. When paired with the smooth, creamy shade wrapper, the mixture provides a smoother, fresher flavor with the depth and complexities every cigar smoker has come to enjoy.

Note: The Perla Del Mar line has recently undergone a packaging update along with new size names. We currently have a mix of both the new and the old packaging, but don't worry- they are the exact same cigars. 'G' is now 'Toro'

I spent 20–30 minutes trying to make a simple purchase of a box of Perla Del Mar Shade cigars. Whenever I got to checkout on the website, and entered my discount code, the site acknowledged and recorded the code, but the discount was never applied to my check out balance. After three attempts to complete the order, but with the same frustrating results, I just decided to complete the on-line order and call customer service the next day to straighten out the discount. After three separate attempts to resolve this with customer service, I was told the discount would be credited back, but it never was. The whole experience was a frustrating waste of time. Likely, I’m done doing business with Thompson Cigars.

These cigars were an outstanding surprise. The smoke is mild but very flavorful. The first three cigars (2 still to go) were firm and drew perfectly. The burn is clean, even and lasts. These cigars have been the best surprise smoke I've had all summer.

My new favorite cigar. Love the flavor and smooth draw that it gives. Don't ask me about all the flowery descriptions, touch of earthy loam, well worn saddle leather, just a hint of marigold on the finish bla bla bla, It's just a really good burning mild cigar with lots of flavor.

Got some of these on a recommendation from a friend, and was pleasantly surprised.. I'm usually not much for the milder Connecticut smokes, but this one is pretty good! Subtle notes of sweet, creamy coffee behind a solid, nutty, tobacco flavor. Very little pepper bite... Great for a morning smoke, and def worth trying! #sweepstakes

The Perla Del Mar was the one in the 90+ rated Connecticut sampler that I was most interested in trying. It gets high ratings here and on other sites so I couldn't wait! It started off almost a little slow but after about 5 minutes it's true mildness kicked in and was VERY flavorful. This was a stick that I enjoyed for about an hour and fifteen minutes and smoked almost to the point of burning my fingers! What a great experience, this will be one I definitely keep in the humidor!

I was very happy with this cigar, nice surprise. The band is designed with an impressive logo. A nice, mild cigar. I have given some to close friends to share, they were very impressed, wanted me to obtain more. Easy to draw, the cellophane wrap keeps the humidity in, no harsh burn taste near the end. Lights and burns well. Price point is within reason. First cigar I reach for in my large, diverse humidor, which says a lot.
