PDR Dark Harvest busted on the scene and became one of the brand's most popular lines. So PDR made another iteration. Introducing the PDR Dark Harvest Exclusive Toro Reserve Habano (6" x 52). It contains one of the best filler blends to date: Nicaraguan Ligero Condega, Seco Condega and Pennsylvania broadleaf. Binded with Jalapa leaf, Abe Flores wrapped this beauty in a bold and spicy Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.

I have been trying many cigars using the five-pack fever special. Most were just OK, one I didn't like at all and gave away the remaining 4. This one is a keeper and a reorder. It had just the right flavor and body for my taste which is Mild-Medium to Medium. I did correct some uneven burn issues with my torch lighter but not sure if I really had too or was just being OCD about the burn. Other than that, no issues at all. Perfect taste for me.

Looking at this cigar I really wanted to like it. A beautiful Habano wrapper glistening in oils that's leathery and tough. Stands up to chewing well. My main issues were an inconsistent burn. One side would burn faster, and once corrected the other side would do the same thing. I wouldn't put it any higher than medium as far as body goes, and while it does have some good flavors it didn't give me what I was expecting. This stick also seems to burn hotter towards the end. I'm finishing this cigar up as I write this, and the body is picking up some in the final third. The flavors are also beginning to develop into a more rounded experience as well. My conclusion is that this is a good solid stick. Not something I'd bust out for a special occasion, but I could see putting it in rotation as a solid daily smoke, or handing a few out to buddies at a poker game.

Ok, the cigar lit up perfectly and the flavors were very pronounced at the beginning. It really went to smooth and then to really no flavor within minutes. Weird, I've never had a cigar like that. Then towards the end, it almost went bitter and I couldn't finish it. I had problems with uneven burning and my wife, who doesn't care for cigars, thought it was the worse smelling cigar I've smoked. Take that for what it is. I read other reviews and I didn't necessarily have a hard time with keeping it lit, but I also didn't set it down that much or I'm sure I would've ran into the same issues. Overall, not terribly bad, but I like a cigar that I can enjoy and this one isn't it.

This cigar was a little stronger than I would have ordinarily liked, but it was good all the way. This was in spite of having something interrupt my smoke about halfway through, and putting it aside for about twelve hours. I lit it back up with very low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. It still tasted great. I was able to finish it, enjoying every bit of it.

Didn't comment on the flavor in the Pros and Cons sections, while I didn't like the flavor it doesn't mean others won't, (some people like Peas while I detested them) but anyway flavor is not a very good reason to knock a cigar. On the other hand, it's hard to relax with a smoke that won't stay lit and is a very firm draw.

A little inconsistent on the draw and a slight tendency to run. OK flavor that was a little overpowering at times. A good cigar just not my favorite. Overall a nice cigar I might purchase in the future. Not one I would go out of my way to find tho.

It was easy to light, had a very good easy draw,Flavor was more on the Medium side for much of the cigar, very smooth, but did get stronger as it burned down to the end.I had to re-light about halfway through, but smoked well before and after. Mine lasted almost an hour, so plenty of time to enjoy. Overall a very good cigar.

Great smoke. Even burning, nice solid ash. Smooth, even flavor. Hints of spice and wood smoke.

I've smoked many PDR cigars and this one was probably the easiest smoke to light and had a great draw and burn throughout the smoke. Only con was mild flavor inconsistencies near the middle but I would definitely consider in the future for a good every day smoke.

The PDR Dark Harvest was a nice size (toro) and color. Good looking cigar. It was a little bit too strong for my liking and had little flavor. Tasted like a basic Dominican cigar. Nothing distinctive about the taste. It had an uneven burn though it was slow burning. I had some trouble keeping it lit. Doubt I would ever buy any.

My first PDR and definitely won't be my last. Great smell pre-light, easy light and super easy draw. Excellent flavors throughout (notes of pepper at first, then it settled into a nice cocoa/leather aftertaste). Nice consistent burn throughout, but the ash wasn't very consistent (for all you ash lovers out there)...never able to keep a good "head" on it for too long. Overall, nice solid medium-flavored smoke...one that can be smoked on a daily basis.

To be fair, I smoked this the day I received it. Perhaps some time in the humidor would have helped. This cigar slowly unraveled with every draw. The wrapper just didn't want to stay on the cigar! It was a strong cigar with plenty of bite, but not entirely pleasureable. I like a full flavor usually, but this was bold just for the sake of having a punch, without nuance. It did mellow some near the bottom, and the last third was somewhat tasty. Overall, for the price, a near miss

This cigar was very good, I prefer a milder smoke but the flavor while strong was pleasant and did not lay heavy on the tongue. The draw was very good and while the burn was not even it was ok. The construction was very good and there were no wrapper issues. For me not an everyday smoke ,but a great change of pace. I would definitely recommend this to a friend

This is not a cigar for the golf course or mowing the yard. To enjoy it the best, grab a beverage (or two), take a chair, light it up and sit back and savor it. Give this one a try.

A FIVE star smoke. Smooth easy draw, stays lit and burns evenly. A mild cigar with good flavor. Even my wife remarked upon the nice aroma. From one end to the other - a very enjoyable smoke for any occasion.

This had a nice smell before lighting and even after, Was a bit strong ( I prefer a milder smoke ) and hard to keep lit and had a slight uneven burn. The taste was strong but not unpleasant until the end (a bit harsh) and would be a good cigar for those special occasions especially if you like a strong smoke.

Cold, this cigar had a quiz nice aroma, with a hint of sweetness. It lit well and after a few spicy draws, it mellowed out and maintained the rest of the smoke. At about the 1/2-2/3 point the wrapper didn't hold up as well, but the delightful smoke did. Plenty of smoke, nice flavor, a very consistent-tasting cigar. I liked it.

On inspection this cigar revealed a flaw in the wrapper...an edge where the wrapper was not adequately glued...not a major issue, however this flaw produced an uneven burn. Perhaps this was a cigar that somehow got by the inspectors. Flavor was OK, but lacked any distinction.

Solid construction, good draw and decent flavor which would complement most beverages of choice. The diameter was a little too large for my preference but if you are a chewer this cigar will stand up to it. About halfway thru this enjoyable cigar there was some slight flaking of the outer wrapper but not excessive.
