When it comes to the Padron Maduro, the measuring stick for all Maduros, the Padron formula is unique in that Orlando Padron grows his own Maduro wrapper. This allows the company to select only the best Cuban seed tobacco leaves in their own field. The Maduro wrappers are then entrusted to their most skilled Cuban trained rollers. However, before being boxed, the cigars are put aside for a minimum of three years of slow, carefully monitored aging. While there may not be many of the great Padron Maduro cigars, what there are are truly remarkable.

My go to Cigar! Consistent and even burn, great draw, smoke output is great, size is perfect! Usually get around an hour out of this 5x50 until the flavour declines on the last few inches. Padron's always have a place in my humidor.

The padron 2000 in maduro is a great cigar. It's flavorable due to the aged tobacco and very smooth. The construction is top notch, on par with Drew Estate, and it's an extreme pleasurable smoke. It is one of the few cigars that is never a bad choice in any circumstance. One thing to keep in mind is ghe cigar is a single cap, so be careful when you cut it. Dor those not confident in cutting your cigars, use a punch or a v-cut.

Padron's have been my main smoke for decades and I think of them as the model cigars. Great flavor, even burn and stays lit. My biggest concern is that they never are among the featured brands when the special discounts and shipping packages are offered and it seems that the prices are raised almost annually. Still, they're a great smoke.
