It started out "just ok" but the flavor increased as it went on. I enjoyed this cigar despite usually opting for milder profiles. But I purchased this box for my brother who took a job in Canada. (the cigar situation up there is bleak..) He liked them even more than I did.

Love this cigar.would give it 41/2 stars if I could. I have literally smoked hundreds of them over the past few years and have had no issues with them,great smoke volume and full bodied smoke.probably why they are on back order so often.would give it five stars if I hadn't smoked some of the better padrons.

The Oliva Serie V is one of my "go to" brands. The aroma is spectacular prior to lighting and when lit. Hints of cedar, leather, and chocolate. it can be on the medium to full strength smoke. So, I do not recommend smoking on an empty stomach. The latest batch were a little too firm and the wrapper unraveled in the middle. Leaving the cigars in my humidor at 68% corrected this.

The "O" Serie V Torpedo presents beautifully with impeccable manufacture, and a heavy in the hand feel. Toasts well with an excellent spice aroma. The first pulls brought enough heat to make Jalapenos blush. The cigar quickly settled down and served up a rich pepper and all consuming spice that danced on the edges of the tongue throughout the smoke. Copious amounts of smoke and nice grey ash. This is not for the faint of heart. Wish it was a bit cheaper so I could have them whenever I wanted. Recommended for my full flavor brethren. Enjoy.

I loved the Oliva "V" on the first try. Very smooth and great all around smoke. A top 25 cigar of the year, 7 years in a row. I've smoked hundreds of "V's" and can count on one hand the ones that were not perfect. Every time I try another cigar I wind up comparing it to a "V". Don't get me wrong there are great smokes out there, better smokes out there, but none anywhere near this price range that can compare. A strong flavor, that you will miss the next time you light anything else! A dense, well wrapped, solid cigar.

If you require a moment to focus yourself to relax, I would recommend an Oliva V torpedo. The taste and construction cannot be beat. I love a medium to full bodied cigar(with emphasis on the full)and this cigar satisfies my taste. I would suggest a nice Port wine to enhance the experience but would readily recommend an excellent single malt to make the time you spend with Oliva memorable.
