Good box pressed cigar but for me it won’t be a repeat. A bit too full flavored for me & the draw was a bit restricted. Uneven burn with the center burning faster than the wrapper causing the need to relight several times throughout the process. That was a breaker for me.

This brand Nica Libre is well worth the price. Well worth it. I generally like a mild cigar, Macanudo Cafe for example. But, I wanted to find a cigar with more body when I feel like a change of pace...and I found it. I was searching for a cigar that had a rich flavor that wouldnt completely kick my butt with nicotine. I came across Nica Libre on another online cigar vendor and a reviewer there said that this cigar is like a Drew Estate Java but without the flavored infusion they add to those. I had a Drew Estate Java in Las Vegas one time by accident and I loved it so this caught my attention. While this cigar has a warm, soft, but rich tobacco flavor I cannot say it tastes like a chocolate bar. That may be more the case with a Robusto or Toro size version but I ordered the Corona size. I got these Coronas on sale here for $40...$2 a stick. Regular price everywhere is $3 a stick. After experiencing this cigar Id buy it at regular price with ZERO hesitation. Cigars are like wines...there are so many choices you just get overwhelmed, Not to mention the cost of cigars...you dont want to waste money on garbage or overpriced names. Whoever reads this I am telling you...you cannot go wrong here. save yourself the headache of searching any further for a "budget" cigar. That's really an insult to Nicra Libre but the price gives it hat characterization. Thank AJ Fernandez for remembering the little guy without gobs of cash to spend. He remembers where he came from. I wish i could shake his hand and thank him personally. I'll leave you with an exchange from the old TV show Columbo: Columbo: My wife wants me to quit smoking cigars, she says they're too expensive. Police Officer: Why don't you just smoke cheaper cigars? Columbo: I would, but I don't want to lower my standard of living.
