La Paloma Vintage Reserva Lonsdale Connecticut (6" x 46) are a premium smooth cigar that makes a mellow and satisfying smoking experience. La Paloma Vintage Reserva cigars are smooth cigars that would hold a treasured spot in any humidor. The meaning of the word “La Paloma” in Spanish is “dove” and this peaceful word reflects the easy-going, top-shelf experience that comes from enjoying one of these smokes. La Paloma cigars turned into a hit shortly after they first became available despite being sold for a much higher price than the ones available today. These quality cigars can now be had for a bargain because the choice tobacco used in the making of these treasures has finally matured and become more available. As a result, the price is lower while the quality smoking experience stays premium. The select Dominican tobacco in this Lonsdale results in wonderful, complex flavors while the silky American Connecticut wrapper gives it mellow character that goes very well with waking up to a beautiful sunrise on the beach or enjoying a gourmet cup of coffee.

A great house brand cigar by Thompson
I realize that Thompson has many "house brand" cigars, but La Paloma Connecticut cigars are truly Top Shelf! I can only hope that Thompson keeps these cigars in production. I prefer them over any top brand!

This cigar is a premium hand made!
Has a good draw a very smooth smoke. Burns light and last long with a good brandy or glass of Italian wine. I prefer a fine red or white lightly sweet.

Love this cigar even though I do still purchase other top named cigars.

A fair to middling smoke
I purchased the short Perfecto in CT wrapper and found it medium in body with okay flavor. Didn't see them offered in current listing so apparently they've been discontinued--or not. (Very few cigar makers seem to offer smallish to medium-sized cigars any more. C'est bien dommage!) Considered them to be a less than special brand but a fairly good smoke for the price.

My first everyday smoke choice
Good smoke for me as a new smoker with an average budget. Going to invest in a Draw Poker as some in this box were tough to draw. Looking forward to learning more and trying more samplers!

Bad cigar
No flavor, leaves a bad after taste

disappointed
these were the most disappointing smoke I have bought from here. Hard to light, hard to draw, and had a real bite near the end

A BAD BATCH
I am usually satisfied with the La Palomas, but this box contained some duds. They didn't draw well, burned unevenly, and wouldn't stay lit. Well below Thompson's usual standards.

I would buy this again
I buy these for my uncle as a gift.

One of the best Mild cigars, period!
A consistantly good smoke for everyday occasions. Everytime I've given one to a friend, they want to know where they can get a box for themselves.

small surprise
OK, 2 stars- BUT!!!!! understand that my hummi's are filled w/ Tempus, Oliva V series Melano/figardo, Perdomo Anniversary/Champagne, Flor de las Antillas, La Aroma De Cuba Mi Amore, Padron Ann., Casa Rustica, R.P. Decade's and so on,,,These are the 4-5 star cigs. So don't take the 2 stars hard here. Note, this smoke was aged for 3+months before smoking. they are $2 cigars, they need a bit of aging time to bring them around, so unless you plan on giving these some time, your tastes and experience will not be the same as mine.At least I think these have some value to take space up for the aging. Onto the smoke, very mild, easy light, Perfect burn- no touch up needed. Smooth/light flavors. Hints of cocoa thru the smoke building up towards the end. NO bitterness, draw very nice. Overall, not bad, but prefer the La Paloma Vintage Reserva No. 1 Maduro Perfecto. Bit more flavor. Also try the Nica libre 1990 box pressed for ~ same $, also light/mild inexpensive cig- AGE it too!!!!!

Great smoke on the lighter side.
I normally smoke Warlock. I had to buy this for a customer of mine he loves them. I gave some to other fellows I work with they seamed to ask for more! It's a great smoke because the woman in my life didn't complain. I do prefer a maduro smoke it was to light for my pallet. Also a great buy!

La Paloma Vintage Reserva Just Okay
Some in the box were very well constructed and others were cracked or the wrapper came off. Not sure I would purchase them again, but I did enjoy the flavor.

Best kept secret
This was suggested to me based on what I like and these are less than half and just as good so I can afford to smoke them daily. An added thing is the aroma I smoke in bars often and no one ever complains about mine. everyone I have given one too bought a box.

Just My Opinion
Cigar has too soft/mushy (rolled loose) feel and that is why cigar splits. Burns quick and uneven because it is rolled loose. Needs help. Roll it tighter and you might have something there.

Just My Opinion
This is just my opinoin. The cigar is a decent smoke. However, cigar has too spongy-mushy of a feel (loosely rolled), burns fast and can split easy on occasion. Also, it has a slightly bad aftertaste. With better construction (a tighter roll), this cigar would be a winner. As-is it's a runner-up.

I was impressed & pleasantly suprised!
For the money, this is the best buy I have found. Mild flavor with a rich aroma. I have paid three times more for other brands and this is absolutely an incredible cigar for the money. I will reorder.

Great cigar but needs lower price
There are occassions where the burn is lopsided and there is a huge hole in the center. the uneven burn gets to be troublesome and heats up the cigar wrapper causing it to dismantle. But not all the cigars are like that, and the good ones are enjoyable.

Just My Opinion (Getting Pricey)
Decent cigar. Pleasant aroma. A mild enjoyable smoke. However, it burns fast and sometimes uneven. It has a too spongy-mushy like feel. It can split easily. In my opinion, they're trying to make the cigar out to be something it's not (a big dollar smoke). Starting to cost more than they're worth.

My everyday favorite
On about a third of these the wrapper splits for about 2 inches on the lit end.

Excellent Everyday Smoke!
I've been enjoying La Paloma Connecticuts for about two years now, and I'm still very impressed. Consistantly mild flavor, excellent construction, and very important, affordable. Well done!

Great smoke
I keep these in my humidor. All my friends enjoy them. They keep very well. They are a nice smoke and burn slow. Great taste.

Great smoker!
It is an excellent cigar if one prefers a Connecticut wrapper. I am more of a maduro man and would buy this cigar in a maduro wrapper the next time.
