Made in the Dominican Republic, the La Gloria Cubana Medio Tiempo Toro (6.0 x 50), as the name suggests, uses medio tiempo leaves in its blend. For those of you who don’t know what medio tiempo leaves are, these are leaves that are grown at top of the stalk and receive the most direct sunlight, giving them a concentrated strength. These rare Connecticut Habano medio tiempo leaves, which grow on an estimated one in ten tobacco plants, are blended with long-fillers from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua. These tobaccos are encased in a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and are wrapped in a luscious Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. This medium-bodied blend gives off delicious notes of cream, cedar, spice, and natural sweetness!
