This dark, oily, La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero 700 Ecuador Toro (6.5" x 60) 90-rated cigar packs a full-bodied experience of amazing flavors which include chocolaty notes, finished with hints of spice. With the exception of its Sumatra-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador, every leaf of this cigar is totally controlled from seed to box. It's the Ligero tobacco that gives Double Ligero its fabulous taste which is perfect to enjoy with a delicious single malt scotch or old fashion bourbon.

I love this and the digger but in a maduro. Either way they are the best heavy bodied cigar I think made

This is a very good cigar. The flavor is enjoyable from beginning to end. But because its pretty stout and because to smoke one takes 3-4 hours, I only smoke two on the weekend.

Received a five pack of this Double Ligero via auction on the Thompson site at a substantially lower price point than indicated. Cigar presents beautifully with a dark oily, mottled brown wrapper with good seams and no soft spots. Initial aroma is one of dark tobacco, chocolate, pepper and floral. Cigar lights easily and draw is lightly firm as I prefer. Initial toasting releases a smoked paprika smell to compliment the pepper and tobacco tastes with sweet notes. The strength of the cigar is evident, even though I routinely smoke 3 to 5 cigars a day. Burn is straight throughout the smoke with a dark grey ash and no flaking, which initially holds until 1 1/2 inches before falling off. Taste points remain remarkably consistent throughout the smoke consisting of pepper which dance on the front and front edges of the tongue, strong yet pleasant tobacco and spice. The finish is short but with distinct sweetness. This is a hearty cigar for those who like the rush. Price point a little high which loses it one star, but may be found for less at auction and specials. Trying a sampler from this line is highly recommended as the producers of these smokes know how to give distinct palate pleasers to their customers. Savor your cigars!
