This is an update to my original review. This lighter is extremely inconsistent with operation. I've changed the batteries hoping that was the issue and it didn't fix the problem. This lighter has gotten worse and worse. There is a little red light that comes on when you open the cover which I assume reads that your finger is in the area to start the lighting. You hear a clicking noise as the lighter attempts to ignite. One time just to time it, it clicked for 3 minutes without lighting and I could hear the butane hissing. Another issue is that it will start the ignition clicking and when I remove my finger it continues to click. Sometimes when it actually ignites the clicking continues. Now the little red light works intermittently. Sometimes it comes on and I can start the lighting process. Other times it does nothing except waste butane. This is the second time I've contacted Slimline (jetline). Last year I bought 3 cans of butane and none of them were pressurized. I called and was told I would be sent replacements. I've never received them. Callbacks were met with a voice mail.

This is a great looking lighter. It has a nice heavy weight to it, it looks great and it has a nice large fuel tank. I followed the directions to the letter, insuring that I purged the tank. I added jet line fuel and it takes multiple attempts to light. Once lit, the flame is extremely inconsistent. No matter the setting the flame size fluctuates. Maybe it needs a break in period but I bought a different jet line lighter from a different online retailer and returned it for the same issues I have with this one.
