The hygrometer is innacurate at best. Calibrated twice, still reads 8% low. Temp stuck on Celsius, switch does not work. Bought this kit specifically for the digital hygrometer. Should have spent the extra for a quality device.

I decided to finally try Thompson cigar and never again. This product has been on back order for about a month and they have done nothing about it. I always order from Cigarsinternational.com because if there is an issue like this they send you and equal or better replacement and take care of you. I do not believe I will ever order from Thompson cigar ever again.

The digital hygrometer is about 7% low when I calibrated it. Not a big deal but I need to remember to account for the low reading. The Crystal Clear Humidifier says that its "Pre-Filled and ready for use. Simply remove the cap and place in your humidor". The website says to add propylene glycol solution, so there is conflicting directions. I did add the solution to activate and it appears to be keeping it around 69-71% humidity.

I bought one for myself and liked it so much, I ordered one for my brother-in-law for his small humidor at his beach house. Perfect for a humidor containing 5-15 cigars, this kit requires little upkeep and keeps them fresh much longer than using water in a little sponge!

Have two humidors. A Thompson 40, no glass, or lock; easy to maintain. The 150, off brand, requires 4 of these units to maintain 70, or have to rub inside surface areas more than twice a year.

The hydrometer is extremely easy to use and tells you the exact temperature and humidity inside your Humidor! The two Gel cups that come with it are the perfect size because they do not take up preciouse space in your Humidor where a few more sticks may go! Overall great purchase! Highly recommend

This is a goof value package deal compared to buying each item separately. The solution and gel beads are holding a steady 70% humidity in my two humidors. The two Thompson digital hygrometers are off by 3% and 4%, as determined by salt test, but it is not a problem.

I use the humidity gauge in my cabinet humidor, but will probably buy another for my glass top, desk humidor.

I bought two of these sets and both hydrometer are not very accurate and the crystals don't impress me much. I have a 50 cigar humidor and a 100 I use them in and the humidity is always varying. Wish I saved my money and bought better quality. Both humidors are full and using that product makes me nervous. Will be ordering better quality soon. The operator I talked to from Thompson said this would give me a steady humidity. Well he was wrong. 40 dollars down the drain. I would give it no stars but it's forcing me to give at least one. Worth less product even when you follow the directions to the Tee.

I think this is a good value combo. I can always use the crystal humidifier and propylene glycol solution. I buy the combo primarily as a cheap way to buy a hygrometer. I don't think they are the best on the market. Because I've accumulated a collection of smaller humidors, I need a hygrometer for each of them. While there are better hygrometers on the market, I figure that the majority of the ones I order will be good. With the crystals and solution as a bonus. I've done that and tested the hygrometers against each other. I've only gotten one maybe two bad ones out of eight. I have a lot of bottles of the solution lying around, but they won't go to waste. All in all a good value.

I needed a new humidifier for my new humidor. And after looking, this kit seemed to be the best overall value. Not only the gel and solution but the digital display Hygrometer.

I purchased this accessory kit because it seemed like a really good deal. The problem is that the digital hygrometer is off by 13%. I did the salt test (twice) and it was not even close to reading correctly. The humidification portion of the kit works fine. I am just disappointed, because I still need to buy a digital hygrometer which negates any money I saved by purchasing this combo kit in the first place.

I have this set up with my new berkely 100 count humidor. I have the 70-72 gel jar open in the humidor and the digital reader on the top shelf. It seems a little cheaply made so buying it alone vs in this kit isn't a good idea (the price of the gel jars and fluid make the reader essentially a free add on.

I purchased this product to bring the humidity down in my humidor. Using it for a 2 week period, It has really worked.

How can this be better? A large quantity of pre-mixed glycol solution AND a digital thermometer with humidistat. That's two needed items for the price of one! The gel jars are a bonus!!!

Just getting started with a new humidor, and this was just what I needed.

This product series seems like it does the same as plain water for humidity, but seems to last longer per fillup.

Arrived broken. Gel containers were smashed in package will Gell on everything. Contacted customer service and was assured a replacement would be sent out immediately. No replacement ever arrived. The customer service representative just kept trying to sell me more stuff. This was my last order and probably will be unless this gets resolved.

Excellent product to always keep your cigars in perfect condition

This is a nice little kit. I already had a humi-brick and was not using it; only using Boveda packets. When I used the solution in the brick along with one of the small Crystal Clear Tobacco Humidifier, my humidor was up to 67%-70%, when before it was just at 50%. I immediately noticed a difference in how my cigars smoked and tasted. Currently, I have a humidor made for about 50 cigars and I'm storing around 25-30 in there. At a price point of $20 to keep my humidor fresh for at least 6 months, this is a great buy. I must add that I have only used this for just over a month now; if I notice the product does not last, I will give another review! My only compliant is that the buttons on the digital hygrometer are sensitive and reset easily.

The humidistat is off about 4% ran the test a couple times to be sure. The humidifiers do not come with any instructions, I guess I'm just supposed to know what to do instinctively.

Keeps humidity between 69-72. Digital guage reads 69-72 while analog reads close to 75 at the highest. Solution works well, lasts for about 3 weeks before I top off the beads. 40-50ct humidor.

Hygrometer worked great. After I rubbed distilled water over my humidor, I added the solution to one of my humidifiers and now all the cigars are a constant 70% humidity. I salt tested my hygrometer from a step by step I found on the internet. Said mine was 8 degrees off. So I just add 8 to the humidity %.

The meter was 75% on the dot with a salt test and one of the jars is maintaining my 40 count at 70°/69%. Nicely packaged. The meter comes with a magnet to mount it to the lid. Reminder don't place your meter right next to your humidifier or you could get inaccurate readings.

The digital hygrometer is of inferior quality. Two weeks after receiving it, the reset function would not work.

This product is amazing! A must have for all humidors. It requires you to squirt a little solution into the container of the humidifying jelly only once every three months or so. So it practically doesn't need to be touched and it maintains a perfect 70% humidity all the time. I've been using this product for over 7 yrs now and will always humidify my cigars using this product.

Digital hygrometer/thermometer works great and nice compact design. The beads and solution helped increase the humidity, however have not been able to help maintain the consistent humidity. Decent overall value for what you get.

I bought this to use in a small 100 cigar humidor. The humidifier that came with the kit I bought (here by the way) will not keep the humidity anywhere near 70%. This kit is super simple and has kept my humidor at exactly 70% over the past 3 weeks. I have not had it long enough to require a refill but I'm assuming these results will continue. The only downside I can think of is the amount of space it takes up on the humidor, but I'd rather have a few less moist and perfectly kept cigars than room fore more cigars that are dry and stale. I really don't smoke enough cigars for this to be a problem, but others may.

This is a good product combo to purchase for self or as a gift. I only marked 4 stars becuase of the hygrometer not benig of good quality. The crystals and the solution are a good product.

I own this. The gel and 50/50 are commodities available everywhere. I wanted the Hygrometer, or thought I did. It's junk. It cannot be calibrated and reads 6 - 8 percent low; tested it with calibration pack and other known good hygrometers.

Not sure I agree with the readings. Just can't get the box up to 70% no matter what I do??

I have three humidors perfectly keeping my stogies fresh and ready to enjoy thanx to this product.

I'm throwing the hygrometer into the trash. It cannot be calibrated and it's highly inaccurate, even compared to cheap analog hygrometers. After much testing, the Thompson hygrometer always reads very low. In an overnight salt test, it reads 54%. I an overnight test inside a seasoned humidor containing cigars, the two gel jars and EIGHT DryMistal 70% tubes, this Thompson hygromter read 6% low. I also did some atmospheric tests (in 64-72% morning humidity) side by side with other digital hygrometers and the Thompson reads low. My Caliber 4R digital hygrometer can be calibrated and reads consistently within 1% in all tests. You can buy a Caliver IV or 4R for the money you would save not buying this "kit"

Disappointing performance... but it helped to "re-season" humidor. The hygrometer is impressive and nice and small. If you plan to buy... its a good value... but you may have to re-season humidor to get product to maintain humidity. This has been my experience with all jar humidor devices. The fluid is cool though... it does not evaporate as quickly. I still prefer other humidification options

First of all In my 20 cigar box it was to tall and it dried my cigars out

If you buy in bulk, you have to use a humidor and also the supplies that go with it. Dry wrappers just don't cut it.

The Humidor kit is the easiest way to keep cigars fresh, and the digital humidistat is excellant.

The battery was dead when it arrived. I bought a new battery but the hygrometer quit working after 1 week.

This item works as advertised. The Gels keep my 50 count humidor at 70% exactly. After opening the top to rearrange or pick a cigar the hygrometer drops to 58% or so pretty quick. Less than 30 minutes its back at 68% and within 2 hours its back to 70%. Also, I tested the hygrometer's calibration by using table salt, water and a zip lock bag and it is spot on (75%). I highly recomend this product.

It was a great idea to package these together for a better value. However, the hygrometer received was useless. It worked for 2 days and then just stopped working. Customer service asked we replace the battery (naturally) and that should solve the problem. It didn't. We bought an $8 battery and this did not change the working condition of the hygrometer. Not that $8 is going to break the bank, this is just annoying as that is about 30% of what I paid for the accessory kit to begin with. This is slightly frustrating. I expected a little more, as in maybe this cheap device could work at least a month. I contacted customer service and they were nice enough to send out another one to replace it rather than going through the process of returning the piece of junk.

It can take up some space in the humidor, but it works great. The gel and solution work together to provide the perfect environment to keep my cigars fresh!

When I bought this product I was expecting my Humidor to get to the 70 to 75% humidity range but the best I could do was 54%. I'm still working on getting the correct humidity range.

4/5 for the hygrometer. Utah has a problem with passive humidors. I got this mainly for the hygrometer. Long story of good and mostly bad days. Tupador too moist, humidor too dry, ect. A work in progress. I can't blame this product since puting two (other)humidors ain't working either. I'm thinking of greatly sealing the humidor. Poor Utah folks.

I put this in my THOMPSON HUMIDOR immediately (both the hygrometer and gel). Best performance I can get is 62% humidity. I'm not sure how it is that the other reviews here speak so highly of this stuff, but I've been better off to use fresh carrots (at least they keep it around 70%).

The digital Hygrometer is nice & seems to work well but the solution & "wonder gel" are useless. I bought a new humidor because I thought my old one was a lost cause. Seasoned it according to directions and then added cigars, no problem. Added the "wonder gel" dropped into the 60's no matter what I tried. Finally I removed the gel and went back to the old humidifier - jumped back up to upper 60's in hours. Tried "charging" the gel same result - back down to 64%

Seasoned up my new Bally II humidor as instructed and placed both jars of wonder gel in humidor.Can't get humidity over 66% now for over 5 days. Added solution in hopes that would help, but still same issue. Starting to question the quality of this product. Will look at other options.

I live in Vegas with 3% to 5% humidity this is a must if you have cigars. The great part is that you dont have to watch it every day like others.

It is not often that you find exactly what you are looking for. In this case, I did. I had been given a small extra humidor and did not want to spend a bunch on humidifiers and such. Each of the components of this kit was high quality and very affordable. Together, they are a real bargin.

for two weeks it has kept my cigars at 71% to 73% humity and the digital hydrometere is easy to read. I have a small humidor holds about 60 to 70 cigars with some jockeying around and size of the cigars. The humidor was a gift a long time ago from my mom and the bottom is not one pice it is slots. I will never get rid of it but it was a pain to keep up with before I got this kit!!!! yes I will never get rid of it but will soon be just a roll over when I will ordering a new one for my birthday from Thompson!!!!! (looking at the Churchill) hold up to 125 so in August I will order it with my normal cigar order!!!!

Good value, strong stuff. Even in a lower quality humidor like I have(it was a gift) with the average humidity in the house at less than 40% this kit keeps my cigars generally between 65-70%. Lowest I've seen it since starting to use this kit has been 61% and that was after forgetting about it for over a month. Overall very pleased with Thompson products. Could come with more detailed instructions though.

I usually have 100+ Cigars in storage. Unless you have a humidor with controlled atmosphere, mold and unwanted smells can be a problem. This kit turns a good air tight container into a long term storage container for your smokes. Works well with pipe tobacco too. I have been using the system for about 3 months now and am totally satisfied with its performance. I would buy this item again.

I bought two of these accessory kits...I compared the two hygrometers and they were reading 12 to 14% apart. They are not adjustable, so which one is correct?

It is important to see humidity range and this monitor makes it easy. I have found that both gel and solution keep my collection of cigars very stable. This is certainly a great value too.

Don't waste your money. A $0.99 sponge works far better. These things DO raise the humidity, but not nearly as well as they claim. Raised my humidity level from about 40% to about 60% for a few weeks. A wet sponge keeps it at 70%for just as long.

I HAVE A 125ct HUMIDOR, WITH 2 TCC HUMIDIFIER JARS FULL OF TCC SOLUTION IN IT. HOWEVER, I CAN'T GET THE HUMIDITY ABOVE 64%. I HAVE HAD LOTS BETTER LUCK WITH DISTILLED WATER.

Not sure how well the gel is working...the seal on the bottle of solution did not hold during the shipping but Thompson provided a replacement at no cost to me.

I have a 50 count Humidor and the mini gel jars did not work. I tried 1 then 2 and they still didnt work even when i hit them with some solution even though the jars state that thay come pre-filled and ready for use simply place in your humidor mentioning nothing about adding solution to the jars which is what thompsons description said to do. The hygrometer and solution are still a good deal for the price so i would recomend this set to someone just for the hydrometer and solution but very disapointed in the wonder gel.

Before I purchased this product I was having great trouble keeping my humidor even close to 70% humidity now that I'm using it. It stays closer to 70% the first two weeks I started using the solution it stayed exactly at 70% now the average humidity is 65%. That is the highest I can get it.

I don't know why but I have to use 2 gel bottles to keep my humidor at 70 or more. It is only a small box. I already had enough liquid and thought I would get more gel bottles. I think I will buy only the gel from now on. The meter is really nice.

I just got a new humador and this product was controling the humidity to 75% immediatly

I highly recommend this kit. *1 Simple Suggestion: 1st. Remove your smokes and humidifier. Place them in a zip-lok bag with your old humidifier and new solution for 24hr!! (don't worry there's a reason) The simple Suggestion: RE-SEASON your humidor. That's right. Your old quarts Hygrometer will more than likely be OFF by 20-40%. Don't waste your time wiping it down. Buy a small spray bottle. Place it and all parts in boiling water for 5min. fill it with distilled water and spray-season your humidifier. After 24hrs, put your smokes back in your newly seasoned humidor, if you can wait another 24hr (you won't be disappointed). Your smokes will soak up much of the humidity. I personally run my humidity a little higher than most, because of air-conditioning and winter dryness. plus I think the smokes pull better. Long ashes brothers and sisters

This is a great addition to any medium to large humidor. This amount of solution of the same quality with any other name at other stores generally sells for about $12, the two jars go for about $10, and the hygrometer goes for about $25. So buying a good quality hygrometer and getting the solution and jars for free is a big win. Treat yourself and your cigars to something that will pay for itself in great smoking and perfect storage.

I removed the material from the humidifier that came with my humidor, and put the gel in it. The humidity level is staying perfect around 70%. The hygrometer works very well and lets my take a quick look at the temp and humidity in my humidor.

I bought this for my 150 count humidor and wasn't disappointed in the least. The hydrometer is right on the money, and very responsive to changes in climate. The gel-dispensing jars do exactly what you want, they keep my humidor a study 72-75 level of humidity. Haven't even had a need for the solution yet, the jars do no require recharge.
