Perfectly fine for cheap every-day smoking. Not as well rolled as I'd prefer, but you get what you pay for in cigars. Used to exclusively smoke my absolute favorite--MARK TWAIN 8x54 before they became so very high priced out of my reach. Began smoking MARK TWAIN when they were priced at $42 per box!!! Worst cigar in 50 years that includes the cheap drug store brands. Who ever rolled the cigars that I received, it was the first day on th job. Now I must say that the 3 or 4 puffs you can get before the start unrolling is a pretty good tasting tobacco. Also I have been smoking the Maduros and have never had a problem. I could not in anyway recommend these cigars to anyone. They are a total waste of money!!

Tried in an assorted sampler pack on more than one occasion in all sticks there seemed to be stems and this caused poor burn. I would not buy after sampling one construction is soft and ash does not hold very well.

The price is cheap but the imperfections make it annoying to smoke. I have purchase these cigars several times and the quality has been declining. I will make one more purchase to determine is the quality has improved. More than 50% of the sticks exhibit the same imperfections. I keep them in a humidor and well hydrated. The next order will determine whether I purchase any more.

Good flavor and aroma. My issue was with the compaction. I sometimes do not light it right away so by the time I do, I would cut the end of the cigar off before lighting. At that point, the tobacco came out rather easily and I found myself spitting out tobacco pieces. Other than that, a good every day cigar.....

Recently smoked several of these cigars in a sampler pack. (the beauty of samplers) I was extremely surprized at the wonderful flavor I enjoyed from this relatively inexpensive cigar. The folks at HSR hit a home run with this baby. I just ordered another full box of the churchill (71/2 x 50) what a monster! Thanks Thompson for turning me on to this winner.
