Henry Clay Stalk Cut Robusto Broadleaf Maduro (5" x 50) uses 2013 Nicaraguan Criollo with Dominican piloto and olor long-fillers, a Dominican binder and a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper which is uniquely cured by a technique called "stalk cutting." The leaves are cut at the stalk which allows more nutrients to gravitate down the veins into the leaf giving it an added bit of earthiness to the taste profile. The blend is incredibly full-bodied which Pete Johnson is known for blending - and doing so with precision.
