H. Upmann 1844 Reserve Corona Natural (5 1/2" x 44) is one of the oldest and biggest handmade brands giving it's audience a fantastic medium body, and has been given a cigar lift with the Dominican binder being replaced with a Nicaraguan binder, and its fillers are now pure Dominican. On the outside you'll see that this cigar has been tightly rolled with a beautiful dark brown Natural wrapper, making it a perfect enjoyment with a dark lager while out on the water fishing for some dinner.

The draw with this cigar is very tough. I like an easy draw cigar. Not my favorite purchase.

I don't what all the hub-bub is about this cigar. I'm a fairly new cigar smoker and bought a 5 pack just to try them out on a friend's recommendation. I found them to be very disappointing. Right off the bat they actually felt heavier than my other cigars of the same size. When you cut the cap off there was an almost tar-ish like feeling to the tobacco like they had been aged in molasses. The draw was very hard even after using a poker. They wouldn't stay lit if set down for more than 30 seconds. Even if an ember was still present you had to puff and puff and puff to get them going again. Then there wasn't much smoke to speak of and what did come out was hot from all the puffing you had to do to get the stupid thing going. Maybe it was just this one batch of 5 that I got. But if this is indicative of these cigars, I don't know why anyone would choose to smoke them.

I go to this classy corona time after times after time. Very complex, yet accessible to the occasional smoker. Billows of smoke and an almost perfect ash every time. It you are a medium bodied cigar lover, you owe it to yourself to give this stick a try.
