Lemme just say, I don't have a humidor, so this could be why it smelled off, but one of my favorite things to do with a cigar is just smell the outside. This one smelled like goat, which was just so odd. I'm sure if I get a nice wood humidor everything will be all good, since besides the smell, the smoke is nice and smooth.
