Too sweet for me but my brother loves them.

So far, I have thrown several away. The outer wrappers have small holes in them and will not smoke. I won't try them again.

I have loved candela wrapped cigars since the early 70s, and unfortunately these days there are only a few inexpensive machine made candelas in a corona size. Once Garcia y Vega stopped making Senators a few years back, I switched to DM Corona Sports, and up until a few months ago when they "remastered" them, I've really enjoyed them. When I got my first "remastered" box, I was extremely disappointed. Aside from the fact that the box is no longer a box at all, but instead flimsy heavy paper shaped like a box, folded at the bottom to keep it's shape, the cigar itself has changed as well. Upon opening, every cigar was cracked on top. The cap is no longer made from the same leaf the cigar is wrapped in, but a tinly little scrap of leaf stuck on the tip, which immediately starts to unravel and fall off upon lighting. They are no longer as firmly packed as they were, and burn with a ragged ash, and every single cigar has had wrapper imperfections in the form of small pieces of wrapper missing with exposed binder. I contacted Dutch Masters and told them aobut it. They were very nice and assured me that only the box design had changed, and asked me to return the unused cigars to them to refer to their QC dept, which I did. The in turn sent me TWO boxes of 50. I have opened the first box and smoked around 6, and although these are burning better, all of the other issues are still present. For years up until this "remastering",I never had an issue with these cigars. It is very disappointing, and unless these issues are addressed, I won't be buying them again. I always used to have one or two boxes of 50 on hand. A couple of months ago I would have given this cigar 4 or 5 stars. It was my favorite. Not anymore.
