Not quite the smoke I expected. None of the usual Aganorsa creaminess, just an unusual peppery burn the first third, then the cigar smooths out some and the pepper blends in to a citrusy, earthy kind of taste. I am not sure if more time in the humidor will smooth out the rough edges on this one, but that is what I am trying, for now smoking one every other week to see. I have never been critical of a Casa Fernandez stick before and it feels strange not to be giving praise, but I have smoked 2 and both were essentially the same.

I received one of these in a Platinum sampler. So far this was the worst of all that I have smoked from that sampler. The satin band around the foot of the cigar was so tight that it did not want to come off to light the cigar. It was very easy to light and started out nicely. Within a few puffs the wrapper started to crack and tear off. The flavor was off to a good start. But as others have noted the flavor changed from a smooth to a very harsh about a third of the way into the cigar. The wrapper continued to crack and tear away from the cigar making it difficult to hold together. By the time I got 2/3 of the way down it became very bitter and unsmokeable. I give it two stars because it did have a good draw but its just not one I would try again. I would definitely NOT recommend this one nor would I go out of my way to buy one.

Excellent mild to medium cigar. Only issue I have - they burn so slow and smooth that you need to allow a lot of time to smoke one!

To me, this wasn't the best I've had, but it sure wasn't the worst. It was a good all around stogie and I'd smoke it again. But I will add that there was nothing that made me look at the cigar and say, "wow". It was just an average cigar that I would consider mild and average flavor.

This is a very good cigar. It was easy to light and had a great draw. Flavor was complex but not bold. This is for those occasions when you have time to enjoy it.

Nice smoke, not extremely complex but flavorful. Good smoke for afternoon or golf course. I'd rate it mild-med (6.5 on 1-10 scale). BTW...perfect burn

Out of the wrapper, this cigar had the aroma of an old, wooden grainery- a very pleasant scent. I recommended this stick for special occasions because you'll need to carve out an hour to smoke it. It has a mildly peppered and mild to medium smoke, and a very nice draw with an even burn.

I tried this cigar on the golf course during a humid day, it was very smooth and enjoying for the first half but it came apart on the 2nd half, could have been due to being dropped but did not hold up to others I have tried

Not a bad smoke if you like Connecticut's. Personally they're not my style, i like something a little more robust. This burned consistently all the way through, though i had to re light two times. Produced night thick smoke and was well constructed. Might use a cutter next time; used a punch on this one and the end cracked a little bit. Probably wouldn't but these but if someone offered i would definitely accept.

Thompson sent me this cigar to try and to give it an honest review. This was one of the better cigars they've sent me to try. Easy to light, stays lit, smooth draw and okay flavor. I'd pay up to $2.00 apiece for these, anymore than that would be to much.

overall this was a good cigar. The flavor changed as it was smoked. I found the draw a little loose causing it to burn a bit, especially near the end.

Wow, nice cigar. Plenty of mild smoke, smooth easy draw throughout. Premium Connecticut wrapper, burned evenly, with never a trace of harshness. Definite top tier cigar, suitable for special occasions or as an anytime treat. Might actually be a new alternate to my preferred Maduro's.

This was a good cigar overall. The cigar started out a little bitter at first, but quickly went away (after about a quarter to 1/2 inch in). The flavors I got at first were earthy hay and almond. Later cedar and more sweet flavors. Connecticut's are usually a little to mild for me, but this cigar had more flavor than most. It would be great for new smokers and people who like milder cigars.

I always like trying new sticks cause you never know when you'll find that perfect smoke...but this ain't it! Not sure what the other reviewers are smoking but it can't be this stick. First third was ok for a mild cigar, which I don't typically like, there was a few flavors in there that were enjoyable. Then the second third started out ok but by around the halfway mark this thing took a turn south REAL FAST! I don't know what happend but flavors went away and nasty burning paper is all you could taste. It was so bad I gave it to my brother in law to make sure it wasn't me and he about threw up. I'd give a negative star but they don't have it lol don't waste your money!

I was excited to try the Casa Fernandez Reserva but I must admit it was a bit of a let down. The light and draw was easy enough, and I picked up notes of cedar after a few pulls but the flavor was a bit inconsistent...and eventually, odd. Maybe it was because I smoked a Caldwell's Blind Man's Bluff earlier in the day, but the CFRC just didn't excite my pallet...and even the smell of the smoke was a bit off-putting. I won't say it was a bad cigar (because we all know there's no bad cigar - just better ones), but I will be hesitant to try it again.

A nice looking cigar, nice aroma cold. Upon lighting it produced a lot of gray smoke with a quite nice aroma. Flavor was consistent at medium strength. A good consistent cigar, but not what I would call great.

When I see fancy triple wrapper cigars I think, "here we go, looks grand but does it taste good?" Well surprisingly yes! A very good cigar. And the presentation makes this cigar great for weddings, gifts and other special occasions. Consistent flavor throughout.

This is a well constructed cigar, firmly rolled, with a defined head that was easy to cut. The cigar was easy to light and burned evenly throughout my experience with it, yielding plenty of rich smoke. The draw is firm but easy, and not airy at all. I would definitely classify this cigar as being on the high-medium to low-full end of the spectrum, so beginning smokers might find it a bit overpowering. The flavor was pleasant but not memorable for me, but is definitely not one to shy away from.

I smoked this fine cigar with a nice IPA in accompaniment. They go well together. This is a very smooth smoke with a very nice draw. The flavor is consistent, and has notes of butternut with a hint of cedar. It's a long-lasting smoke with an even burn and a nice ash.

As I smoked I noticed a mild but bland taste. If you're looking for an after dinner cigar to savor with a glass of scotch, skip the scotch. This cigar is more suited for the golf course or the lawnmower.

Thought this was just another Connecticut Toro, but was somewhat impressed with it. Nice color, well constructed, good looking cigar. Tip was strong and held shape for the entire smoke. It was mild to medium strength. Not the bitter annoying taste usually associated with Connecticuts. The aroma was pleasant throughout the entire cigar and I did not tire of it. I do not know if I would buy a box, but I would sure have a few in my humidor.
