Nice mild, lasting smoke

I love the flathead, the aroma of the cigar is average. The smoke of the cigar is what brings the rating down for me. The draw of the cigar is consistently difficult with each cigar I have smoked. It’s not my go to cigar, but I do pass them off to visitors and a last ditch cigar when I have little to nothing else.

This is my favorite cigar. I like the flavor, the size, the way it burns. Highly recommend.

Excellent premium cigar. Smooth even burn, great draw, awesome aroma and flavor. Don’t hurry through this cigar. It’s awesome but on the stronger side.

Good flavor, decent value for the money. I’ve had a couple burn very unevenly, though. They looked to have had areas running the length of the cigar that were rolled less densely, causing them to burn faster than other areas. That was unexpected. It also caused the cigar to burn more quickly than others in the same box.

Shipping box was broken open Air bag packing was deflated and box of cigars were banging into the five pack of cigars. Actually surprised that nothing fell out of the shipping box or that the Woden cigar box was broken. Called your customer service to make Thompson aware and to also voice my displeasure and all I received was the run around from customer service person offering me a discount on a future purchase only and ONLY if I called him personally to place the order. With the box being delivered like it was and the runaround I’m not so sure yet if I will be ordering from Thompson again

The CAO Flathead Maduro is very smooth and a pleasure to smoke. It was the standout in a sampler of Maduros that I bought..The consistency of the burn is impressive. The Flathead is currently my favorite cigar.

I had them before there a great smoke sit in your mouth nice but I haven’t opened them up yet.

Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is bad. No consistency with this Maduro. But when it is a good smoke, it is really good. When It is bad, it is a headache.

One of my favorites, along with its silver brethren , the 554. One of my tests for a good burn is whether it says lit while it's in the tray for a few minutes. It does. Flathead, along with LaGloria Serie R and Espinosa 601 Blue Label are always in the humidor. All are robust.

These are always a great stick. If fact they took over from Avo’s Madura Heritage and Rocky Patel’s 1990 Churchill. Both of these are more money and not as good in my opinion.

Love the cigars! I do feel slightly disappointed that there was a bonus pack of 10 more CAO sticks and a lighter back ordered that I missed out on followed by another offer immediately after that with a lighter and I got no consideration for those items.

I just received my order and chose the V660Carb for the first smoke and wow, was seriously impressed with the entire experience. tasted great all the way through, leather and hints of chocolate, burned perfect, easy to draw, big ring, box pressed. One of my new favorites. the 90+ is deserved.

If given the choice I would take this over any cigar. You pay for what you get this is a 95 ra ted cigar for a reason. Rated one of the top 3 by Cigar Aficionado a few years ago.

This cigar caught me by surprise. I ordered a 10 pack an made the mistake of lighting up one the day they were delivered. That first smoke left me a little disappointed, but after leaving the cigars sitting in my humidor for a few days I lit one up last night and was blown away. Full bodied, great flavor once it sat in the box and got re acclimated. Smooth cool smoke that I was able to take to the nub which is rare in my experience with a large cigar. My feeling is that the longer I let this one sit the better it will get. Great Schmoke!

Uniformly an excellent cigar, although occasionally some are not rolled evenly and therefore burn unevenly. Overall, however, uniformly an excellent cigar.

Wow! Great flavor, smells good. This is a well constructed stick. Box pressed shape for large cigar is more comfortable than round. Have to use punch cutter instead of regular. Will restock more very soon.

This is a fantastic smoke strong aromatic robust was the box press feel it's one of my favorite single cigars to smoke and I can never go wrong with this one.

Nice oily wrapper. First 1/3 was best no issues. Relit after 1/2-2/3 several times, pinch massage to get improve and avoid relighting. This was the best almost 2 hr smoke ever.

The first time I tried the cigar it was a single and had plenty of good flavor. After trying single I got a five pack that did not have as much flavor I was a little disappointed none of the five measured up to the single.

If you have the inclination to sit back and spend time with it this cigar it will show it's appreciation in return. It's firm box pressed construction makes it a pleasure to hold in your hand or mouth. It's my cigar Club monthly choice so I smoke them regularly and I can tell you it's rare if ever that I have a bad burn or draw. A wonderful full flavor, an even burn, a great draw.....what else can you ask for

It truly is a good cigar; a bit a rough draw from time to time while smoking but not too bad. I've had lower rated cigars I thought were better than the 95 rated CAO Flathead. It's a beautifully rolled cigar; please don't misunderstand my criticism because the Flathead is overall a very good cigar. It is a great value i'm just not sure why it deserves a 95.

This is a great cigar. The only issue that I have is that its too big for me to smoke more often. It typically takes me about 2 hours to smoke. I don't have that much time on my hands usually, so I end up smoking less of them than I want. No REAL complaints though. Its perfect. One of my favs. Great price too!

One of the better cigars on the market!!! I really enjoy this smoke. Well constructed and be prepared to spend some quality time with this because its not a fast smoke. Very slow burning with a rich and complex taste!!

Easy draw, loads of flavor, not for the faint of heart...

This cigar is thick with a great taste. Even as a full bodied smoke, it doesn't overwhelm your palette or make you light headed. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because I had to re-light around the middle of the smoke, which ruins the tempo. This is my first try from CAO, but I will be back for others, most definitely.

I enjoy it very much, just make sure you have time to enjoy it.

Another fabulous smoke from CAO! Beautiful construction, easy draw, lots of thick white smoke, and just a perfect, consistent burn, which I haven't seen in a while. A peppery start with the first few puffs, then the cigar mellowed out and was simply delicious all the way through. Really smooth for a full bodied cigar. I smoked the V660; I'd definitely pick up a pack or a box of these, and I'm going to add to the collection with the V554's. A++++

I am a dyed in the wool GURKHA smoker but this CAO 6/60 Flathead just became one of my top 5 favorite smokes. I hope they can keep the quality the same over time. I know blending is very important for the flavor I desire. Rolling is also of critical importance. I feel that even some of the best manufacturers don't pay enough attention to the sorting tables. You can start a great smoke and then in the middle, stems & plugs. It can ruin an otherwise great smoking experience. Like life itself, enjoyment is in the small details.
