Cigars were dry, would not stay lit and hard to draw. Cigars seemed to be old.

This is a great stick! I have to confess that the CAO Brazilia Amazon & The CAO Flathead Carb Maduro 6x60 are now my favorite sticks! My rotation runs the gambit on spicy smokes (Onyx, La Gloria, Cohiba Black, Partagas Black, Macanudo Grand Cru, El Rey Del Mundo, Gurkha, Joya De Nicargua, and Perdomo Grand Cru 2006). This stick is right there with it's flavor profile. It starts off smooth and creamy, and then the spice, wood and chocolate kick in. I enjoy this stick with a bourbon (Blanton's, Maker's 46, Woodbridge Reserve, etc) and it is a smooth smoke! I will say though that you need to let them rest in your humidor for 2-3 weeks before lighting up, but if you're like me, you're gonna fire one up the day that they get delivered. Please, don't judge them based on that first early smoke. After they have rested, you will have a great smoking experience! Right now, I have one humidor dedicated to holding only these Amazons and the Flathead 6x60. I honestly will smoke these puppies until my fingers start getting burned...they are that good! Get a box! Don't wait!

These cigars are a good evening out doors enjoyment. Smokes well and goes good with my beverage of choice.

These are outstanding cigars. They are complex and full bodied. They typically have a nice firm construction and create a full mouth full of delicious smoke. With that being said, in my experience, any cigar that is over a 55 ring gauge, you will have a percentage of cigars in the box that will burn unevenly.

I purchased a box of the CAO Brazilia Amazon Brazilian Gordos. This review is based on the first stick out of the box. I hope it gets better from here. It is a great looking cigar. Great wrapper, uniform dimensions, lights uniformly (I roast before lighting). Very hard draw. I tried to cut a little more off the head end to no avail. I used a draw poker to try and free up the draw which helped some. I gave it a light roll and could feel a distinct ball about 75% up the stick from the lit end. I do not expect this type of poor quality from a higher end producer. As I said I hope it gets better from here.

Use as an everday smoke.
