This 91-rated premium offers notes of black pepper, sweet cedar, earth, coffee, nuts, and provides a creamy finish. The burn on this boutique blend is razor sharp and billows out voluminous clouds on every puff. Caldwell Eastern Standard Corretto Robusto is a perfect selection for any palate.

Nice little cigar! Rolled very well. Plenty of thick white smoke. It had an even mild flavor reminiscent of Monte Cristo cigars in feel and flavor. The ash stayed firm and straight throughout, tipped after burning down 2 inches, dropping a perfect inch and a half of ash into the tray. The burn was slow and relatively straight requiring no fussing. My only complaint was the band was slightly fused to the cigar and tore off a bit of the delicate wrapper when removed. I mistakenly paired it with a blended scotch; given its mild character, I would think it better paired with a Japanese whiskey, perhaps an Oban or something light on the pallet. The band itself is a bit of a mystery, not being familiar with the brand. A bearded swami looking face with a message saying "Eastern Standard -Live East, Die Young"; not sure what that is about. I consider it a nice addition to the humidor.
