Enjoyable aroma

I recently purchased five of these gargantuans under Thompson's outstanding 5-Pack Fever program. I smoked two thus far and I was not happy with the first one I lit up. My friend and I were at a bar in Honolulu where one can smoke cigars, and we were also watching the Dallas Cowboys upset the entire world by surprising the Saints that evening! This was my first experience with anything from Brick House, so I was admittedly a bit apprehensive. I love big fat cigars... love 'em! Big fan of La Gloria Cubana Serie R Black, which I had intended to purchase this time around, but they weren't available from Thompson, so I took a chance on these fat guys. The first one I tried had a major wrapper problem for over half of the smoke. The wrapper was literally coming apart! Unravelling! Really! I had to keep applying flame to burn off the dangling wrapper. I'm trying to enjoy single malt scotch and watch the Cows upset the Saints, and yet I find myself having to deal with a weird burning cigar! One that I have never tried before. Imagine that, Brick House! I liked the flavor; kept telling my compadre that, while this dammed cigar looked like a mess, it tasted pretty darn good... just too much effort trying to smoke it! I did get through the ordeal, however, but I was sorely disappointed. So, about a week later, I lit up another one of these, and the entire smoking experience was, indeed, one-hundred eighty degrees different! No wrapper issues whatsoever. This Ohio Class submarine-sized cigar burned even, the draw was effortless, and that maduro taste? Muy excellente! I was now happy with my purchase! I have yet to try my third from this 5-Pack batch, and it's been about 10 days since the last one. Five evenings ago I recharged my humidor, and all of my smokes have been sleeping there ever since... completely undisturbed. I will be joining my friends for poker, scotch and cigars this Friday, and I intend to bring along one of these bombuchas. Hope it has no issues, either!

Good long lasting flavorful smoke

Excellent cigar!! I'm generally a Cohiba or Rocky guy, but tried one at a cigar shop and came back and ordered the 5 pack.

Tastes good, draws good, burns good. Triple Crown.

Very well constructed. Firm but not a hard draw. Great flavor. Not a lot of smoke, but that is not a big deal. Did not get hot at the end.

I enjoyed this cigar. It's certainly not my favorite 6 x 60 maduro, but I got these on sale and they were well worth the price.

I love a full flavored smoke but the mighty maduro by Brick House is a bit over done. The flavor is nice but too strong for its own good. It takes getting used to whuch makes it not as enjoyable. It is good with a stiff drink or if your feeling like somegthing different with a kick.

Burn very fast,but the length makes up for it.

The flavor is strong; however peaceful and enduring it last with a great ash of just under three hours.

I typically grab a stick from the "box" (Humidor) on Fridays to hang out at the "shop" (Palmetto Breeze Cigar Shop, Rock Hill, SC). I like a variety of "Maduro", and wanted to try this Brick House; to my pleasure, it was (is) a good stick.

Very reasonably priced and tasty maduro. I love big ring cigars and this is one of my favorites as it is very fast burning for a large cigar, so I can enjoy when I time is limited. This Brick House is a medium cigar, with traces of leather, chocolate and spices in a tasty wrapper.

This cigar is a top pick after mowing the yard on a hot summer day. Get a beer. Turn the Pittsburgh Pirates on. Light the end. Sit back and enjoy the next hour and a half. Yep it's that good.

This is a stick that deserves the time to go through the entire cigar "ritual". To me, it's strong, but not harsh in any way.
