The original Brick House cigars were Cuban puros, handmade with the finest Havana tobaccos. Third-generation cigar makers, Eric and Bobby Newman, have recreated this vintage Brick House Churchill Classic (7 1/4" x 50) cigar brand by blending specially aged Nicaraguan tobaccos with hearty Havana Subido™ wrapper leaves to match the rich, well-balanced flavor of their grandfather's Brick House cigars. Handmade in Nicaragua, these flavorful cigars are designed to be enjoyed and shared just like J.C.'s friends and family would have done 150 years ago with the original Brick House cigars.

I ordered the Brick House Churchills to see how they compared to my "go-to" churchills, the Ashton VSGs and the Arturo Fuentes (Candela and regular wrapper). As the title says, "meh". They light well, draw decently, and burn fairly evenly. Taste was a bit uneven - not horrible, just not enjoyable enough to recommend to another cigar smoker.

These cigars have turned into surprisingly enough, one of my most loved cigars. I find it well constructed, easy to light, burns evenly, great smell, and for me I find these really pleasant dark chocolate notes in the middle to the end. If you are smoking a cigar for the pure pleasure of smoking a cigar, or new to cigars, or looking for something new or different you will not be disappointed.

This cigar has aptly been described as the poor man's premium cigar. For the price it can't be beat.

This is an amazing, flavorful, smooth cigar. The word "Luscious" comes to mind. This is my 'Premium' go to cigar for occasions, special events, or just to treat myself. My local retailer always has them on hand. And it's nice to know that if they do run out Thompson has them as well.

was skeptical of this long cigar as I was not accustomed to a lengthy smoke it took a while to complete. I was pleasantly surprised... quick light, easy draw, even burn, long ash, mild-medium but good flavor, rich, puffy smoke. Excellent for special events or long discussions with friends.
