Not sure what I expected, this is the first time I have used anything but a water type humidifier. I have a classic well fabricated wooden humidor that I have used for decades and was trying these packets so I could rely on them to keep things stable for at least a couple of months. I have about 25 cigars in the humidor which pretty much fits nicely without too much space left over. I purchased the 72% humidity packets to maintain at least a 70% humidity. I did have to use 2 packets to reach the 70% mark. I noticed the humidity began to drop in less than 2 weeks and eventually reach 64%. At this point I began supplementing the packets with my original water humidifier to reach the 70% mark. This does help, but my expectations of not having to monitor the humidity for 2 months has pretty much been abandoned. As mentioned previously, this is my first experiment with these types of humidifying packets and I am not sure if my expectations were unrealistic.
