Alec Bradley Prensado Gran Toro Corojo (6" x 54) has been at the top of many cigar aficionado's lists. It was Cigar of the Year in 2011 by Cigar Aficionado and more recently made the "Top 25" list in 2013. The wrapper was grown in late 2006 on the farm in Honduras. It's a true full-bodied cigar that is not for the faint of heart. Every connoisseur must try one. Sometimes you want a bold cigar like this one. This is a very good cigar. I don't know that I agree with the incredibly high ranking given to this stick by CA years ago, but it is good. It's kind of a great transitional cigar for someone who has been smoking light, creamy sticks, but is feeling a little adventurous. It's a very cocoa powder, smooth, chocolatey smoke with great body and burn, but not full flavor. I find it pleasant and relaxing, but I am not rushing to the store to buy out every one they have. For me this is a great daily smoker.

Good smell pre light, even had my wife smell it. Nice wrapper. Slight box press, not a true square. Wasn't the best I ever had but far from the worst. I think I'll rest them in the humidor for while and try again. Most get better with time.

This is a darn good cigar. Thick clouds of creamy smoke with some pepper thrown in. It's going to burn for over an hour so make time for it. Pairs very well with a good single malt...I chose Balvenie 14 year Caribbean Cask. It was excellent.

I've purchased this one in the past, but this time it was damaged, not sure if it was from my humidor or what the issue was but draw was different, and wrapper was damaged. I may try them one more time, as perhaps this was a bad batch, but we shall see. I like to try new ones, to find what I like.

This is one of my absolutely favorite cigars because it is so consistent. Every time you light up it provides the same fabulous smoke each and every time. They must keep a very tight control of the tobacco as I have never had a bad smoke, ever

This is a long burning cigar and you don't want to smoke it too fast. The flavor is consistent. A sort of sweet spice, nutty, semi bitter chocolate taste which is creamy and becomes fuller and longer lasting as you enter the second third. It has a classic cigar aroma, a sort of musty, well aged tobacco scent to start and a nutty, leathery, spice scent as it burns. It may get hot in the final third so take your time on the home stretch to enjoy it to its fullest. This is a true medium to full body cigar and you will want to give it at least an hour and a half to fully enjoy. I recommend keeping these on hand.

Firm Draw - Tried working on this - bought a 5pk have tried with 2 will give the other 3 away. Tried a punch cut. Draw to firm - Cut off the end - still too firm - used my perfect draw tool - still not up to speed flavor mediocre - poor draw - not much smoke - everyone has their favorites but this is not one of mine- Yikes!!

I have never been disappointed with any Alec Bradley cigar, but the Prensado is clearly the leader of the pack. Perfect construction and draw every time. I have smoked the entire Prensado line-up, and have found that the Grand Toro hits all the sweet spots. A perfect smoke.
